Your not the only one disappointed at Shakira. I am and some of her fellow Columbians are outraged that she is doing a video like that, especially since she is so active in the Hispanic community (see: www.cnn.com/2014/02/05/showbiz/shakira-rihanna-colombia/). I have been a fan of Shakira's since before her crossover when she still just relied on her natural talent and she looked like this...
In order to make in America, she has whitewashed her looks and sexed it up. I was hoping that in this era she would get back to the music and go back to her natural color or one that doesn't make her look like another Britney. Is the pressure to crossover AKA get white people to listen to your music, so important that you have to resort to this type or behavior? Why can't they just follow Motown's example and let the soul of their music bring in the money?
