I put "faux pas" in quotation because I don't believe for one second that with as long as Beyonce has been in Hollywood, and as many advisors she has, that she was not fully and well aware of the dress code for an event like this. Come on, CHANEL? The name alone let's you know what's up! The girl is seeking attention! Period, even if it's the negative type! The only other option could be that she is beginning to be this out of touch with reality that she found this acceptable. I could see that too....because she also was a hot mess at the Tidal event. Judging the the quality of stars who were there and the way Beyonce dressed for the occasion, I would say she was definitely seeking attention as usual. I don't know what they mean by rare fashion misstep, Beyonce's entire fashion history has bee full of faux pas. What's rare is when she gets in right.
I see real stars no longer attend fashion shows anymore. Now it's a bunch a blisters and a singer or two.

Any *well-adjusted* woman in her 30's with Beyonce's career,the money and lifestyle she DOES have, and a child and husband, wouldn't care, and would be happy to show up looking age appropriate and ELEGANT AND SOPHISTICATED, instead of trying to compete with someone more than 10 years her junior.

She is not Rihanna she is someone's wife an mother. looking every bit the hooker. and she looks like a different person in the face. a lot of botox and lip injections. also has she had her nose rebuilt? The funny thing about those photos is jay still don't seem to interested in her. I feel like she's wearing those type of outfits to keep him from looking at other women. Go back and look at him and rihanna at the boxing match this year. He looked so happy to see her, and he was quick to put his arm around her.

You can be a sexy mother and wife but this ensemble is not even sexy, it looks cheap and the ponytail makes her look like a stripper from New Jersey. Who designed this travesty?  I'm a prude when it comes to showing off the goodies but I will admit Rihanna did it better. If you want to go sheer, this is how you do it.  |

Trashy but tastefully done, so it works.
The confidence Rhi is exuding, negates your opinion about her outfit. You dont have to like it, and feel free to be offended. Doesn't matter. She's clearly okay with it.
Subtle hairstyle works with the over the top outfit.
This is what you do when you're a young, childless, single rock/pop star. She's in her lane.
She's okay.
(I may be biased because I actually like her music...but still..)

Over the top ponytail takes over the top outfit - over the cliff.
"I'm so unhappy and dead inside" look in the eyes, still remains the focal point of her ensemble, even though the ensemble attempts to detract from it.
"I'm totally out of my lane." I should be in the lane with people in my similar socio group, however I dont have the confidence or intelligence to be interested in what most thirtysomething (famous and average) married mothers are. So I stick to whats' easy (at least in my mind) which is trying to fit in with the young crowd, and gain their fickle approval and attention.
Need to compete is still very strong in this one.
Need for external validation is still very strong in this one.
That ass is also showing signs of middle age approaching rapidly. (How did it get so big and round? Just a while back she was posting selfies of Jay lifting her up in the air, and her ass was flat as pan cooked Bisquick.)
Screams "overcompensation". DOES NOT exude the confidence that you should, when wearing a get up like this.
Your opinion and attention, matter a great deal. I really hope you like it/envy me/lust after me/acclaim to me/talk about me/notice me.....because I'm wearing this.

I think the fact that there's no underlay is what makes it look cheap along with the side ponytail. But there isn't anything amusing about this 'dress' with or without it. I mean honestly i didn't find anything interesting about Rhi's dress either but she is known for edginess and being Risque and it worked with her and her frame. But what do you expect Im not suprised by one bit that bey would step out to compete looking like That with and then Fail. Typical predictable cynical bey. She rarely gets it right especially as of late. For a mother and wife you would expect her to know better and create her own lane.
