MOST BORING GIRL GROUP OF ALL TIME.
The only reason they got attention was because of the scandals.
Had it not been for that they would have been forgotten right along with 702, Blaque, etc.
And THOSE groups were even better than them.
I never found ANY inspiration or excitement in their hit songs - Bug A Boo, Bills Bills (I HATED this one most), NoNoNoNoNo, Survivor, etc). I found ALL those songs dull and boring and I hated the melodies!!!!!
When I was in High School I felt like I was the only one who found their music boring. With the exception of Destiny Fulfilled, I have not heard one of their other albums. I even received Writing on the Wall for Christmas one year, and never listened to it...I was too busy still into TLC's Fanmail. Destiny Fulfilled is the only collection of DC songs I liked, and even on that album its only a handful that I liked.
Let me rephrase, that this is MY opinion...its okay if you liked DC, a lotta people did...just saying they put me to sleep then, as well as now. I mean, just look at this section on the message board for them, it stays empty because they are sleep-o-matic.
And THAT was to Bey's advantage as well. She was more dynamic than the dull ass group she hailed from. Imagine if one of the girls from TLC had broken off solo...it woulda been "aiight" but come on, TLC was a force to be reckoned with, and that would be a tough act to follow as a soloist from the original group.

I'm a little younger than you, but I remember when they were out. They're music never did anything for me, at all. The only reason why everyone liked them was because, just like how Beyonce is....they were in your face...ALL THE TIME. Without Mathew those heffa's wouldn't have been famous. Mathew sucked some industry penis for them...and then for Beyonce. They weren't/aren't special. Your right they're just like 702 and Blaque. The only songs I like by them is T-Shirt. Hell I was still listening to Brandy, Monica, Aaliyah and whoever else was out at that time. I wasn't worried about no damn Destiny's Child. Besides, if it wasn't for mathew you couldn't even remember them...they all was average looking.

Not DC sorry.

Well I was cool with them well I was older so I really wasn't into them like that and I bought Writings on the Wall and I sold that mess back to my record store, like the other person said I was still listening to TLC, now them girls I can rock with and they had songs that talk about life and with a message. Not DC sorry. Must say I agree with this! It’s only after I saw The Last Days of Left Eye, that I realized how multi talented Lisa Lopes was. I didn't even know she played instruments! But even back then, the content of a Left Eye rap could run rings around a DC song, any day. And she was beautiful! Just had to say.

I was never too keen on DC. Part of that is because I was more into boy bands as a teen but it was also because I thought their music was just so-so. When it comes to girl groups I can name a few whose music really spoke to me and DC isn't on the list.

Yep.. I know that I liked NoNoNoNoNo and that was it.. and it's true the only reason they stayed on my radar was because of the controversy surrounding the group member switches. I've never had an album or downloaded any or their music.
