Hi all, y'all may not remember me, but I used to post on the Destiny's Rehab blog and have a few posts on this forum. Glad to see it's still going! Anyway, I stumbled across some tea from LSA and thought I'd share. It did not come from me, but I long suspected this was going to happen since Rih was signed to Roc Nation. Beyonce is on a keep your enemies close tip.
As far as her stealing Rih's team, I didn't hear it from someone who heard it happened, I heard it from someone who saw it happen. It was a coup, a quiet one, but a coup nonetheless. I'm not going to get into all the reasons that the Anti situation upset me (I have NEVER purchased a Rih album, she's never "done it" for me) but it's troubling to see someone with Bey's resources sabotage another black woman so mercilessly. Then, to add insult to injury, you release an album of your own, after the fact, claiming to empower black women. I really wasn't sure whether to feel disrespected or disgusted. Oddly enough, I settled on pity. (of all things) I mean, who pities Bey right? Well, I guess I do, and the longer I watch, the more it appears to be for good reason. I guess this thread just brought it all back up. I didn't mean to interrupt your lil' stanning or anything (you actually seem to be pretty irate about it yourself).

It didn't work. Despite the hype, Beyonce still looks like a cheap, boring, bad country knock-off of Rihanna. In truth, the ONLY reason Bey's still getting any attention any longer IS because of Rihanna. She can steal five more of Rihanna's teams. But Beyonce will NEVER beat Rihanna being Rihanna.

This has caused her to lose a few of her fan base. She has always been a "try too hard, copycat, stealing, jealous hearted, theif". So much so that she has spread herself very thin and that is why some people cannot respect her artistry. Where as, instead of her "Brand" being totally about her and her art. It has only become a brand that has Bey covering everybody's signature acts as he own, but not her true self. You can find everyone in her brand that she happily and without shame uses to promote her copy and paste career. She only seems to take from those who has made some kind of buzz for themselves, old and new alike. And as far as anyone who is present, like Rihanna, a woman who's taken some of the spotlight away from Bey and left her feeling left out, jealous, and desperate enough to try to take her down. So instead of Bey using her strong point such as, her singing or "dancing" to trump Rihanna, she decides to drop to her level/lane and try to make whatever it is that Rihanna gives to her fans and incorporate it into her theft collage.
Case in point: This Lemonade album barely has her delivering her strong point, which is singing. She sounds like she's almost rapping/talking. And we may love Rihanna but we know her voice can't compare to Beyonce's. If she is on top and calls herself the "Queen B" and "been #1 in this game for a minute", then why would she stoop so low to mimick someone who doesn't claim to be a queen or a threat. So desperate is she that she literally takes everything she thinks that makes her intimidated by Rihanna and makes it her very own with the expectation that she will have Rihanna's same success. Which is crazy considering Rihanna is younger, childless, a party girl, a down to Earth person who we never see with a billion bodyguards along with secret service members in tow. She's also not a contradictory, flip flopping woman. Once she was able to shed the image that they wanted her to be (Beyonce 2.0) she went full speed ahead with being self. What you see is what you get and there is no confusion. Even Rihanna's Vacay pics give off a different feeling than Bey's Vacay pics.
On the other hand Bey likes to put out she's a bad girl, but in the same, she wants us to believe she is a Saintly goody Ms. two shoes queen goddess that God so graciously allow us all to to witness her beauty and greatness. As if she could do no wrong and would never do all the things people have been claiming she's doing, have done, or will ever do. - 1 Billion lawsuits and her fans believe it's all a lie and no truth to any of it. They'll say Bey doesn't have to do things like this...she's the queen. Which is the same things we are saying except, we're the only ones who will look at the proof and realize...Yes, she did do that, steal that, lie about that, wore that, etc,...

I have no interest in the Rita O. person but when they both wore that same (red and white) dress. Bouncy, to me, looked like an old lady. She has had so much reconstructive facial surgery, her feature now look like a Becky/white woman. SMDH

Remember when she tried that silly blond, short/crop cut and it suddenly became obvious to all that her neck was the size of a tree trunk? Lol. She needs to look for what works for her. You cannot steal Rihanna's natural sex appeal (which she exudes even in tom boy clothes) by stealing her creative team. Besides, a lot of the stuff she tries would look better on a slimmer person. She has been looking so wide and all her backup dancers look better than her. If she wants to keep on wearing those leotards, she should try losing some weight. |
