I agree with this ramrants comment:
I don't believe Jayz was offered to play at the Superbowl. While he may be famous, it more for being married to Beyonce than his music. He is a true hip hop artist and his music is played only on hip hop stations. I would like for people on here to name at least 3 songs of his, not featured on someone's song (like Beyonce or Timberlake). Almost all of you couldn't do it. Because most people don't know his music.
The other reason I dont' believe this story is because I dont' believe he would turn down the offer. JayZ is a smart business man and he knows a performance in front of 100+M people (1B worldwide) would be a smart move for his brand. No way he would turn that down.

I don't believe he was ever asked either. This family has shown the world that they live for coins and bragging rights, which so happens to have overshadowed every thing they've done or contributed to music. Neither one has given the world a "Thriller" album, even though they act like they have. From Jay's "My presence is my charity" to Bey's "Bow Down Bitches" and every thing in between. No he wasn't asked. He may have been the one to even put that rumor out, in hopes that his name would be amongst the other names that were already in the hat to be chosen from. Just think about it. This so called revolutionary album.. "woke" album he'd recently put out would be ideal to bring to such an event...after all his wife used that same platform to showcase the BLM movement with references to the Black Panthers, right? Coincidence? I think not!
Nevertheless, I think this is a sign for them to really think about retiring and going away for awhile. When a so-called "Artist", whose supposed to be creative, fresh and new becomes predictable..it's time to go bye-bye, just long enough to come back to be even better than ever before. If they want to keep their fans happy then they need to think about this. Once fans begin to see your bullshit, with your bullshit moves...you're done! I mean, now is a better time than ever, considering they've added two new little ones to the family. And I say all of this as my opinion. Hell, they may not be able to go away like that, especially if they've already been bought and paid for, like slaves. Oh well..

How could he even perform at super bowl? His songs feature so many N words and swear words, he'd have to rewrite every song! For example lady gaga's song bad romance had the word bitch in it and it was censored at the super bowl. He also doesn't have songs that people know, he'd never be asked to perform at the super bowl. Did you see they put out a statement saying they never asked anyone to perform? No speculation needed, they officially denied it lmao. I think what happened is that jay z saw an opportunity with the players kneeling controversy to pretend he's an activist now. And he hit two birds with one stone: he acted like they begged him to perform and HE said no I don't wanna lmao and he got to act like he's an activist. Beyonce did the same thing when the BLM was getting a lot of media attention. For the first time in her career she remembered that she's black. I guess that beyonce will go back to being a French aristocrat next.

Trust me... for bragging rights, coins and another opportunity to appear to be better than us all..Jay would probably change lyrics and bleep out whatever is necessary to have the floor to get that kind of shine. Wouldn't surprise me either if he brought his wife on stage. Ya know, to try to make it an epic moment. According to all the hype they believe about themselves, they'd probably call it "historic". Lol. They both need to sit down somewhere. The times are changing. I thought I'd never see the day, but would you believe that when I've listened to the younger generation start talking about them, they're now referring to them as old. I laugh every time I hear it.

Haha, old! Yet you'd never hear Michael Jackson referred to as "old". Real artists stay fresh, celebrity clowns get old. Beyonce has been in the super bowl too many times. People would be like ughhhh not her again! No worries tho, ain't nobody inviting that overrated camel anywhere haha!

They really are on their last leg, their true fans are dwindling and broke
They are industry slaves so they can't just retire unless they want to be sued by their label, bankrupt and on their own....no live nation handlers to hide behind, get headlining lies from, etc
These insecure clowns (as it is insecure people that want to be "better" than others) ain't going nowhere their children and grandchildren will be COONING and used as weapons against the community
Like all the other pawn seeds
They are a joke, and anyone worshipping them is also

Hahaha! Even when it was legit to say so. But the kids are saying things like...My Mom's been playing Bey songs ever since I was a baby. Every time we wanna hear Cardi B or someone we like, she just keeps playing those Beyonce songs. OR ...My Dad's favorite rapper is Jay Z, but I like Lil Wayne, Future, Drake, Young Thug, etc... Haha..Too funny!

Until he shows his caller ID or an email or some kind of letterhead from the NFL asking him, I will not believe it. Furthermore it said "reports" said he turned down a request and lo and behold, the NFL comes out and says they never offered him shyt but their fans are so delusional that they think the NFL is lying. Anyway...
