Oh how the mighty have fallen, J was shut out of the Grammys by Bruno Mars and some said there were audible gasps as Bruno kept winning and J kept losing.

I'm glad Jay didn't win any Grammys this year because his album was straight up a gimmick. He hopped on the BLM and conscious rap movements because it was finally selling big and had mainstream appeal. Jay didn't have any hits from the album and it didn't sell as good as Kendrick's album (Jay's Platinum plaque for the album is mudied with stunts and controversy). Plus, there wasn't any awesome young white artists that he could hitch his wagon to like he did with Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park so he had to go full black on this album and pimp his business arrangement marriage. Jay even had Blu at the Grammy's to display his perfect family but he forgot that those old white guys that run the Grammy's and music industry know the truth about the Carter's. Those old guys are probably Republican Trump supporters so Jay's spat with Trump the day before the Grammy's didn't help. Trump supporters are roasting Jay on Twitter. They even posting the video of Jay beating the reporter backstage at one of his old concerts and they posting his mugshot.
Did y'all notice that during the Grammy's commercial breaks, if you went to Twitter, there was all these photos of Jay shaking hands and greeting fellow AOTY nominees like Lorde and other Grammy nominees? He looked like a politician trying to secure votes and praise. And why did Bey wait to enter the Grammy ceremony right after Rihanna performed. Bey stay trying to take Rihanna's shine. I see why Rihanna didn't go to the RocNation Grammy brunch or the Clive Davis Grammy party that honored Jay Z. Clive had the nerve to call Bey the First Lady of Music. I think that title belongs to Whitney, Janet, or Diana Ross (Diana was shady but she did real groundbreaking stuff). If Bey is the First Lady of Music does that mean Jay is the President of Music? Don't let me type those titles ever again.
Also why do they insist on bringing Blu to these adult shows? I'm telling y'all they are grooming her for a career in music and acting. Blu stays going to late night concerts and adult events. I hope Blu is being homeschooled. It's nice that they want her apart of the family business but we have all seen how kids that don't properly live out their childhood years end up (Bey is a narcissist, MJ kept looking for his childhood, Kelly got self esteem issues, and Demi Lavado got into drugs and anorexia). Blu and DJ Khalid's son are going to be overexposed before their careers start. They may just be using Blu as a distraction so Bey doesn't have to interact with anyone because for the past few years Bey has been living out a fantasy of being some kind of Queen or untouchable deity.
Hopefully, Jay and Bey not winning AOTY will usher in a new era for black music, especially for black female singers. We need more than just Bey & Rihanna. Hopefully, SZA not winning any Grammy's wasn't a requirement for Bey's attendance at this year's Grammy's. She got away with it last year (Rihanna won nothing but somehow Bey & her sis who had no hit songs got Grammy's).

Have any of you taken a look at some of the articles this morning? Most of them are skewering the Grammy's but for all the wrong reasons. It's obvious the Carters media machine is working overtime. I wanted K-dot or Childish Gambino to win but Bruno was also a good pick.
I see why they didn't pick a hip-hop act and I'm not bothered. This was not the year to celebrate men that disrespect women as well as their own race in their music.
And Yes they are definitely grooming Blue. I have stated this before but I bet Jay has already spent up Blue's future earnings. This will not end well, that child is too grown for her age now.

I’m thrilled he wasn’t able to collect any awards for that trash as album. He didn’t garner many views on YouTube nor streams on any popular streaming networks. The entire album sounded like a 6th grade band got together and he put his 2001 sounding rhymes on their shyt. It didn’t even deserve platinum! Glad he was humbled and sat down by Kendrick and Bruno

They are so classless and btw i care nothing about shammys or those 'accolades'

I take it there may be a few things going on here. Maybe there's a money shortage and he just couldn't afford to buy himself one of those brand new shiny Grammy...or sippy cups like he once called them. Then there's the possibility that Massa has replaced him for a nice, newer, fresher puppet with less mileage on it, meaning his services are no longer needed, therefore all the perks have ceased. After all, didn't he give himself a Grammy party, which (to me) is different from someone else throwing a party for you in your honor, no?

That Grammy party must’ve been planned with invitations sent prior to his losses. He knew that race baiting album was trash. The tour was a failure and I must admit his publicist did an amazing job concealing his pathetic ticket costs and failures. Shows were canceled, tickets were $6 each, radio stations quietly gave tickets out via email and on their site as opposed to advertising and giving away on the radio... guess he couldn’t afford to pay them for the “free” advertisement. Anyway the beginning of the end for the broke carters is upon us! |
