i will be back to this thread but just wanted to get it started as it has been on my mind for a while. what I RecentLy realized is that these performances ritualize a dsbw as beneath a lsbw What made me realize it was the ongoing conversations about why ds bw can’t get any play in the community, sevyn streeter being a good example. In the 90s the community supported dsbw what happened?  ? Now listen, innately human beings what they perceive to be the best. This is just human nature, no one wants something deemed inferior. And what has the bey kkkamp communicated through the years, her superiority. And flanked by a dsbw, what is this psychologically communicating and confirming. kelly should never perform with Beyoncé again, it will already take an outstanding ds talent to regain the status and the perception of best, Whitney, Brandy.... the public through beyonces kkkamp have unwittingly through the imagery accepted that ds -Kelly is inferior to ls-Beyoncé. This public ritual needs to stop, let her perform by herself or with other ls women. the standing of ds bw has suffered and this has a lot to do with why |

Although Lil Mama is not really ds she is unambiguously black, I’ve seen other posters cite the Jay-Z Alicia Keys stage incident as another milestone on the disrespect bw road we are on. That was also a community ritual in disrespting and belittling bw. Hurling all kinds of names, teasing etc....

It was never a group it was a vehicle to showcase Beyoncé but at the same time it has been a vehicle to second class dsbw on a subconscious level

I was just on a Chrissie post and got more data to support my conclusion. It was a poster saying her friend told her she was the beyonce and she was the kelly. The fri nd said what does that mean, the ls says I’m top pick, so yes it has been telegraphing ds inferiority to ls
We have to put an end to this nonsense. It is anti God to look down on any of his/her creation bas d on some man made standard. I’m tired of this attitude that some people deserve to be badly treated, ie ugly. Everyone is deserving of respect and. It bp to be placed beneath someone else.

And no the answer is not lashing out on ls women, no. Leave them be.
As Chrissie says the solution is Corrective Promtiin and that is ds women as love interests, in media, in music and we can’t achieve that as playing the “Kelly”
So no Kelly please don’t perform with Beyoncé anymore as ds are in correction mode and that only reinforces a harmful hierarchy that should have never been established in the first place.

For me Kelly’s “career” was ALWAYS to be passive promotion for Beyoncé. Just another way to keep Beyoncé’s name out there during her down periods thus the interviewers ALWAYS mentioning Beyoncé (even til this day)

You're right it is really disappointing if Kelly and Michelle allow themselves to be used like that. At least I'm glad that they will earn money and probably have fun performing to crowds. That is unless bey lowers their microphone volume like at super bowl. And you know they'll have no say at anything.
