I love Natalie Cole's music, but this right here just doesn't make any sense. I can understand Rihanna or Lady Gaga, Katy Perry being the new Madonna of this generation; but beyonce this just threw me off. She's hasn't done have the stuff Madonna did. I mean she took risk with her image and music, she wasn't afraid to do songs like Holiday, Like a Virgin, Papa don't Preach, and Vogue. www.eurweb.com/2013/11/natalie-cole-on-beyonce-shes-the-new-madonna-watch/

No offense, but ain't nobody checkin for Natalie Coles opinion anyways.
Especially when she's that wrong.
No one cares and it'll soon be forgotten. Beyonce has gotten so many "props" over the years that its lost its effectivenesss, and no one cares. What people see and hear on their own is what really influences how they feel.

I'm so upset at Natalie Cole for saying that, I don't even want to click on and read that! Obviously, I don't agree! I don't know what it is about Beyonce that brings out the stupid in great women that should know better.

I'm starting to believe celebrities are paid to say stuff like this. Cause there's no way Beyonce is the new Madonna. Not even close. Indeed, Katy Perry and Rihanna could be the "new Madonna" except that they lack authenticity and just follow trends to be popular, having a hypersexualized image is one of these trends. Not only Madonna took risk with her music and image, but she did at the at a time when people were more conservative than today, especially when it touched women and their rights, how they were supposed to behave, to look like, etc... She broke (along with other artists, like Grace Jones) these conventions. Remember, when Madonna released albums such as "Like a Virgin" or "Erotica", it was highly controversial, and I mean REAL CONTROVERSY (unlike stupid pop stars' antics nowdays, it's just buzz, no comparaison then) she faced a lot of backclash and criticism and at one time she was even quite unpopular. She was not afraid to touch certain topics (listen to Papa Don't Preach) for example, or to be introspective in her music. She's far from being the best singer or even dancer lol, but at least she has some quality shit and grew with her music. Unlike the wannabes of today, Beyonce included. To be honest, I could look at Lady Gaga and say she's the new Madonna (even I don't really like Gaga) but she's more creative and talented than many in the industry right now.

People are paid to say things. I'm sure nat was paid to say that. Regardless of how I feel, the comment does not make sense. might as well say jay zoo is the next elvis.

I clicked the link but it appears to be moved; I'll poke around that site later to see if I can find the article.
As far as comparing Madonna and Bey goes: if the rumors I've heard about Madonna and her handlers copying, stealing, payoffs, and bullying to make her a star are true then yes, I'd say that Bey is the Madonna of this generation. There's a lot of dirt surrounding Madge's career
