Remember when Ashanti had the reign for a minute? Nobody was on her status at the time. Maybe with the exception of Alicia Keyes. But she really was doing exceptionally well at the time. She had won a Grammy. Wrote her own music. Do u guys think Bey overshadowed her? or Ashanti fell off due to Ja rule and them falling off? just curious on you guy's thoughts.

I actually like Ashanti's music more than beyonce. Of course beyonce overshadowed her, I mean bey wants to be the only one making Rnb music. I think it had something to do with Murder Inc. which allowed for her to fall off. Maybe it also had something to do with rumors of Jay z and her sleeping together.

Well..her label was going to set up ashanti..and coincidently she left them after irv was brought up on false charges
