I wonder why Bey stans always gush about how "classy" she is. Ever since her career started she has always been half naked on stage, videos and pictures, and her dance routines are usually sexually explicit. Same for her lyrics. Her stans always trash Rihanna, Ciara, Nicky Minaj, Kim Kardashian or any other chick for being whores yet Beysnooze is no better than them. Actually she reminds me a lot of Lil Kim. Always in skimpy clothes, rapping about being a hoodrat, a rapper's wifey, clothes, money, sex. Bey does the same as her, except that she sings. I believe she mimicked Lil Kim a lot. Lil Kim calls herself The Queen Bee, Beyonce is King B with her Behives. Just sayin'. Recently Bey stans trashed Rihanna's Pour it Up video (the video and the song are awful anyway) but call the Partition song and video "classy" while it's exactly the same soft porn non sense. A "classy slut" doesn't exist. Either you are a slut, either you are not.
Other topic: Sales of the new album. As many media outlets reported, she sold 80,000 copies in three hours. Fans rushed so hard to buy a copy it made Itunes crash. I don't believe this claim.
I don't doubt she sold the amount in 3 hours, it's possible. But how would it make Itunes crash?! People forget that millions of consumers, simultaneously, are downloading albums, singles, movies and applications from the Itunes store EVERYDAY, and it doesn't crash. Her PR team is really feeding people with hype.
She is expected to reach 200,000 copies in three days. If so that's lame. Remember Justin Timberlake had 900,000+ copies sold in it's first week for his album (though I think his sales are inflated too, he sold a lot more than Bey for sure).
Her album debuted at 1 on Itunes in 100 countries. I wonder which countries though, and which sales figures.
Also, why people keep saying she dropped her album with no promo?! She's been plastered EVERYWHERE this damn year. The inauguration, the superbowl, Oprah interview, her fake documentary, her deal with Pepsi, H&M and L'Oreal, her tour, the movie Epic, these tracks she dropped... And don't forget the magazine covers, her tumblr and Instagram. Girl never took a break and she can't. She would never drop anything with NO PROMO. NEVER.
I have listened to some tracks and watched some videos of this new album and I am largely unimpressed. Some songs are not that bad, like Heaven or Blow. But that's it really. The rest is a hot mess and she is copying a lot of other people's sound and style (for some reason the track Drunk in Love reminded of some Dawn Richard songs). She has not evolved as an artist at all. Same dumb juvenile shit. The lyrics could have been written by a 12 year old (and I know some 12 year old who write better stuff than this). The reviews are all positive, (85/100) on Metacritic, but I suspect she paid for reviews, cause people outside the Behives' planet are not impressed by this album at all. There is nothing groundbreaking about it. That's just mainstream hypersexualized and unoriginal pop/R&B music. I am baffled by the hypocrisy of the Beyonce's stans. If Rihanna had sang the EXACT SAME TRACKS, they would have trashed her. Now Beyonce singing hoodrat anthems is "great music", "iconic" and "art". They need to shut the fuck up and get real music education.
There is way too much hype about this woman... And few facts to actually support it.
