Several news outlets are reporting that Beyonce's album has sold 1 million copies.. I think it is possible for Beyonce's album to sell 1 million, there's no shortage of knee-jerk reactors in this world. But here is why I believe it hasn't. Apart from Beyonce being known to lie about her numbers and buy her own albums. This story was broken by Huffington post. That's right Huffpo has the oldest story on it. Not any major music news outlet, Huffpo; the media that Beyonce courts and flirts with exchanging exclusives for favours, not any of the major music sites that have been known to tell beyonce that her sh*t does stink. Why would huffpo be in such a rush to publish this? How many times do they get entertainment news first? Can we say Payola? The only source of this information is cited as being a "knowledgable source" - selling 1mil is not an issue of national security. Why is this "knowledgable source" not named. (RIAA has yet to certify it.) They have also been kind enough to give the time at which the the millionth album was sold. I'd like to imagine that if an album is selling so hot and so fast several copies must be being sold at once. But some how we must be told when the millionth album was sold. That's fluffer information to make the "source" seem more legit. Beyonce's album has finally showed up on itunes charts and is sitting at number 1. I don't know how this works but it looks like a huge number of sales was recently, suddenly made at once to put it there, because it wasn't there before. I can't prove anything of course, you never can with Yawnce. But time will always tell. Right now in the middle of this blitz storm of PR fuckery that always surrounds BEyonce's efforts it's hard to see what's what. But when the dust has settled, the truth will emerge. I for one, am happy to wait.

So the 200,000 worldwide doubled? Yeah, right. Only after people said it was a small amount for 100 countries...

If you go to iTunes right now. She doesn't have a number one album in the US anymore, the top number 1 album is we are kings, and on Pop its One Republic she fell to the number 2 spot. With the RnB soul she's not even listed. Yeah this album came and went, whoever brought the album made the purchase when it drop. Theirs no way she sold 1 million, she probably brought 1 million copies herself.
Oh yeah it's sad that some of those 30min clips of her videos she drop don't have millions of views, where as Eminem and Rihanna drop The Monster video and they got over 2 million view in less than 24 hours.

I'm sorry, but having the fastest selling album on iTunes makes me wonder just how many people will remember this in history! When you think about it Michael Jackson actually broke records that was of importance. In my opinion selling a bunch of albums on iTunes doesn't even compare! Especially if iTunes won't be around forever! I'm not trying to discredit Beyoncé's success congrats to her, but it seems like every time she does something her fans and others want to forget what other Artist have accomplished. Adele's 21 album is STILL selling a lot! One of her fans even said she's on her way to replacing Mary J. Blige as the First Lady of RNB. I don't care about people being fans of hers. I'm just sick and tired of them making it out o be like she's the best to ever do it and is the only Artist to have broken a record or accomplish something! What matters is will her or any of these other Artist in this era be remembered for doing something life changing! Like Artist such as, MJ, Prince, Mariah, Whitney, Madonna, Janet, etc! Sorry!

The itunes chart do seem to fluctuate from one thing to another pretty quickly, so not sure if they can be relied upon.
Regarding this source thing, I have to say it’s getting annoying. I’m sure it was started for a more noble cause like people being able to inform on serious matters without fear of repercussions. Not for the likes of Beyonce to inflate their careers. The amount of work she has to do to stay relevant - I swear if I had to work that hard to get people to like me, I’d go home.
But this is what it is now. One outlet will report it - never mind if it is true – the next day, the rest will site it as gospel, because it was reported somewhere else.

Girl them fast buyers AT MIDNIGHT was nothing but the hive, her fan base doesn't go to bed, they sit up all night harassing people on twitter and don't have a meaningful job where ample rest is required. That's why the ish sold so fast. Hardly an accomplishment. Adele didn't do it, but she has shattered records in terms of charting and staying there consecutively. Beyonce was #1 on iTunes chart from Saturday afternoon til Sunday night. She currently sits in the #6 spot on iTunes album and # 7 in New Zealand. She's nowhere else, even ciara charted in the UK, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan in the #1 slot for a few days with her latest album. Ciara had little to no buzz but was still number 1 for her little moment... Chile' lort hammercy, we have the facts, meanwhile bet fans listen to each other's lies on twitter... And to address the thread without going too much off track, she has not sold 200,000 more! She knows we can't check the international charts too thoroughly as opposed to the USA charts. Ur right, it's a lie. I'm going to do thorough research this week online and count it up myself. A good place to see numbers as a starting point is Wikipedia and follow the links in the bottom of the page. I'll be sure to comb through and report back to y'all! Give me at least til after Tuesday so I can be fair, I also have a life outside of picking apart this fraud. Luv y'all!

She did that in Japan didn't she, that video gets yanked down to this day, it's very hard to find it. I was on lipstick alley looking for that video to post and had a hard time but I was using my phone, had I been on the computer I would probably have found it easier. She lies so much and OP observed that her main person to deliver the lies is the huffington post, I sincerely think she's paying them to fork over the propaganda, it isn't entirely impossible to get a news column to lie for you, senators and celebrities do it all the time! Just like lady gaga got (jimmy Fallon not sure) to lie and say her album was #1 all over the world a few nights ago! Chile, gaga sold 35,000 this past week Celebs and their lies isn't as easy as it used to be, because of the internet age and savvy users ish as ourselves can find conflicting and accurate reports easily, with just a few clicks!

Why is it just now reaching 1 million? I thought they already said she sold over a million copies they need to get this story straight quick. I'm already starting to see them make mistakes, that could have been avoided.

I'm already starting to see them make mistakes, that could have been avoided. they can't keep up with their lies. i think after the knee jerk reaction it turned out that Beyonce's album was a slow climber. so they pulled some strings and fudged some numbers and claimed it sold a million in a week. They are desperately throwing everything out there, wouldn't be surprised if we heard Beyonce album was the cure to cancer.

I'm already starting to see them make mistakes, that could have been avoided. I think they thought if they build up that hype it would happen. Obviously not! But it has been all over the place. Just the other day a Columbia rep was claiming they had shipped 500,000 CDs. However, with Target and Amazon not buying I don't know where they've shipped them to, and Walmart would do something so crazy.
