Why do you guys think 4 flopped? For a "big susperstar" like Beyonce her album should have ATLEAST sold good in other countries. I mean, if an albums doesn't do well in America, it does very well in another country? I, personally, thought 4 was an okay album it has some nice songs on there, it felt like she was listening to people and doing songs more of what women her age does. Is it because her fans like the ratchet baby mama anthems? I was thinking maybe her albums never really sold that well. Maybe she bought her own albums. Dangerously In Love: 11 miliion B'Day and Iam Sasha Fierce: 7 million each 4: 1 million I think? Like where were her stans at when this album flopped? For her to be this "legend" she should have at least sold 4 million albums respectively.

It flopped because of poor or no direction, disjointed marketing and crappy content. if you aren't going to pussy pop then you better bring it lyrically and vocally. and she didn't. I was embarrased for her the first time I heard "best thing I never had". So embarrased for her. one article even asked "what is Beyonce trying to say?" That's how messed up it was, lyrically. It also flopped because there was and still is zero demand for Beyonce outside her dwindling fanbase. Also here fan base doesn not seem to be monied like say, Madonna's fan base. I read the lable had to buy some of her records to keep her from being embarrassed and humiliating them.

The songs were boring. "Mature music" doesn't equal boring. Videos were bland, copied or OTT. Her promo shots were topless and tacky. The "only do a few big performances to promote" experiment was dumb. Her love for no. 4 became obsessive.

Most of us are aware of the fact, that BeyFlatButt, does not write her own songs. Even though she is listed as a song writer - it's all for show - there is no substance/truth behind this claim. This will affect her longevity in the music business. Many other singers are also song writers, thus they always have a foot in the business. She dances. Well.....lets not even go there. When BusyBee's popularity falls, she will have no where to go. She can't do Vegas as her songs aren't mainstream enough. Plus she does not sing other peoples song as well as she does her own. She screwed up MJ & Alais Morissette songs, on stage, something awful!! I have no idea what will happen to her. Maybe she will do reality TV?

I think she underestimated public perception and thought she could release anything. And all the talk about “a more personal album” is just to save face.

but even that song was ruined by her ghetto speak: "...I miss you, like every day...wanna be WITCHU, but you're away....."
The sound of the song is absolutely beautiful but this chicken just completely ruined it for me with that FIRST OF ALL - too simple line ("but you're away") and the ghettoness ("be witchu").

4 Flop was boring. The only song that stood out a little for me was "I Miss You" but even that song was ruined by her ghetto speak: "...I miss you, like every day...wanna be WITCHU, but you're away....." The sound of the song is absolutely beautiful but this chicken just completely ruined it for me with that FIRST OF ALL - too simple line ("but you're away") and the ghettoness ("be witchu"). ugh. The album was terrible. I agree about the elementary lyrics. Mariah would never, she always has people looking up words from her songs. The HIV was trying to shade her last album saying she copied Yawnce's title yet they didn't even know what elusive nor chanteuse meant. That's the real shade, her stans are just as dumb as she is so they don't care. I also agree that the personal album, not looking for a hit excuse was a cop out. She thought there was a demand for her music, nope. Your lying if you say she wasn't looking for a hit with Run the world, love on top, countdown and tried to have a power ballad with that remedial 1+1. It didn't even chart on the hot 100 lmao |

You guys! I wrote so much. I took my time to to do it  it actually took me almost an hour and...yes! It was very long. I accidentally did something wrong...i don't know what. Ughhhhh!
