Beyonce released two singles. XO is for Pop radio and "Drunk in Love" is for Urban radio. Neither of these songs are making an impression on itunes. They are nowhere to be found in the top ten. And if they haven't even made an impression on itunes after having been released a few days ago, they won't make an impression on Billboard. And both of Beyonce's videos are stalling on youtube as well. Drunk in Love is doing better out of the two on YT, but it was released many hours earlier on the same day as Rihanna and Eminem's Monster, which has over 6 million more views than DIL! Even though all the talk is about Beyonce, Eminem and Rihanna's video is still overpowering hers.
Dunk in Love and XO are two of the "better" songs on that garbage album. If they can't get those to number one, expect a flop of 4closure proportions.

5ilth will 4lop. It is written in the stars. Outside the tiny hive there's just no demand. Beyonce could have come with her best work ever and we still would have told her to shut up. she needs to go away for a loooooong time.

So obviously it wouldn't be in the Billboard 100 vs the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It's not a crossover hit, I doubt it will even be one...but I won't be surprised if it is, seeing how these kids like anything nowadays. Monster is a Eminem song..so it was bound to be in the Billboard 100..in fact I haven't even heard it on the Hip Hop stations..when I do have time to catch the radio. That was definitely a pop song. And Ciara's Body Party...that was my song. I can't tell what genre that actually is. But all I know is that I liked it lol. |

So...I'm listening to "Drunk in Love" now since they were advertised on my Spotify. I thought, "Let me check out her album"..but the only two are available are "Drunk in Love" and "XO" and did she just say "Can't keep my eyes off my baby daddy?" I'm hoping I heard that wrong. (I always hear lyrics wrong)
If so that's so damn tacky. I don't mind powerhouse vocals at all..but what the hell is up with the "drUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNK in LOOOOOOOOOoooooooVEEEEEEEEE" "We be all night AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Caught me off guard. Beyonce we know you can hit notes! It has never been that serious. That's why I could never get into her and her voice has no versatility. She over does shit for me. The beat is pretty dope...but it's so typical. I mean, I can honestly hear Rih singing it. I'd probably like it if she sang it. Ugh, I've never liked Jay Z. I could never get into him. Maybe back in the day he was a lyricist..but now..it seems like he's trying to keep up with the little boys and the little boys are trying to follow his lead. Such a f*cked up game. Tupac said it best..."F*ck Jay Z"
Overall the song would be nice if I'm at the club partying with my b*tches. But..I don't go to clubs, I don't party and I don't have b*tches. If it counts I like the part: "I want you, Naaa, Naaa." Too bad she couldn't harmonize it for me to really like it. Sounds so plain.
"XO" I actually heard good reviews on this but...it's not my type of music. It sound like it's already been done. This song does nothing for me. Bey doesn't just have the Pop appeal voice and crossover. She's more suited for R&B or something Urban.
All in all I could care less if she charts or not. Her and this Beyflopce needs to just leave.

I guess her era is over. So soon. She must be feeling some way about it. Hope she doesn't drown herself in alcohol. She can live a dignified life in the back ground, like other people who's stars have faded. Raise Blue, maybe have a couple more kids. Retire somewhere nice and quiet. |
