www.rhymeswithsnitch.com/2014/01/beyonce-pens-feminist-essay.html#moreI know that Snitch used the word "essay" but I refuse to call it that. It's not structured like a real essay and there's no real flow to it - it's just a bunch of "empowering" soundbites that she put on paper to "inspire" her fans. I do believe that she actually wrote it though, which is more than what I can say for that article she got that journalism award for (does anyone else remember that?).

So, according to her, equal pay and equal respect equals equality. Got it, Captain Obvious. (I CANNOT with this unintelligent chick anymore. CAN. NOT).
And one of the comments said this: "yeah, using your married name while you "pen" feminist essays from your ivory tower, looking like a European Queen while saved from all the bullshit that non celebrity minorities experience daily just kinda reeks of insincerity and cluelessness..when was the last time she had to worry about someone making minimum wage when her husbands shit in Barneys regular people cant even afford..."
CO-SIGN.

Beyonce could have very well written this; but I personally don't believe she did. The woman can't even speak fluent English or in coherent sentences. Does she actually expect sane humans to think she really wrote this. A poster on RWS summed my thoughts up pretty well: "It's obvious she just added her name and claimed it as hers, like she does with just about everything else--e.g. songwriting credits, video treatments, dance routines."She said everything women have been saying since the 90's and early 00's-til' now. I thought it was going to be something interesting or different. Where is the action in her words? Why doesn't she speak publicly about the way she feels on this certain issue/subject? Also, this came out of no where. Weird it comes out the same day Ms. Shakira and Rihanna dropped their collaboration. Since when has she cared about equality of "peasants"? Isn't she the almighty Beysus? Isn't everyone suppose to bow down?

I'm sorry but I'm sick an tired of her an this whole feminist image that she gave herself. I don't get how can she write about minimum wage when she's never work for less the 6 figures. I would like to know who are these women she's trying to empower. Sweetheart times have change and now days women are CEO's and business owners. She seems clueless about the topic and who she's trying to reach. Also if she's for equality then why does she feel the need to jack somebody else swag. I've never seen her up lift anybody but herself.

CO-SIGN. One thing that has ALWAYS annoyed me about Beyonce EVERYTIME she speaks on something is the way she states the freakin obvious! Shit that people have known for YEARS and GENERATIONS before her....duhhhhhhh!!! CO-SIGN WITH YOU FULLY.

I've never seen her up lift anybody but herself. I'm sick of it too. I don't recall Oprah or hell, even Gloria Steinman poppin and droppin like it's hot, at the same time touting equality and power. After commenting on her on facebook, a few of her stans came at me saying I'm bitter and I must not like Tina Turner either. I told them that I have no bitterness but what I do have is a 3 year old niece that wants to gap her legs open around all and drop and pop like bey. Where's the dignity and equality in that? And just because I adore the original (Tina Turner who can SANG by the way) doesn't mean I have to like the generic copy. I'm sick of these dumb low brow stans and their illiterate god!

I can't with her female empowerment.. when all we see her do is stab women, especially black women, in the back. I hate to say that but time in time again you hear and see her always trying to get attention when another woman has something out. For example, Dreamgirls interviews..enough said. Destiny Child's former members...enough said (I hate that she doesn't support Kelly after all Kelly does for her. She didn't even show up for Michelle when she was on that UK's Strictly Come Dancing. But believe me they must be present at everything Beyonce does). She stabbed Mrs. Obama in the back by taking Pepsi money after doing the Let's Move campaign and lip synching the National Anthem on the most important day for the country (I strongly believe she released her new album at the end of the year to avoid being called out on all of the end of 2013 specials for lip synching). Don't say those Instagram notes she writes are proof she cares about women. Actions speak louder than words. Her actions scream Bow Down. She can't even congratulate Rhianna on her success. I could have swore she would have done a track with "it girls" like Nicki Minaj on the new album but no...Every track she has ever done with another female she literally tries to out sing them. Don't believe me, just go back and listen to the tracks she did with Mary J. Blige, Alica Keys, Shakira, & GaGa. They absolutely are horrible. Her dislike or fear for women really messes her up when she is in the studio with another female. She also doesn't show up to award shows to support other women unless she is going to get an award or if precious Gwyneth needs her. For example, MTV & BET awards, People Choice, NAACP and etc. she never just goes when not nominated. When she does go, she wins everything or upstages it like the pregnancy announcement at the MTV awards. I truly believe the so called rumor that her father sent a letter to BET saying that Beyonce would not go to the BET awards if Latoya sings on the main stage. She can't even pay tribute to others. She pays tribute to who she thinks can get her something like Barbara Streisand or Tina Turner (she wants to be the next Tina Turner so why not pay tribute to her so people can compare). Why can't she be like other down to Earth singers like Jennifer Hudson, Ledisi, even Mariah and come out and pay tribute to Patti Labelle, Dion Warwick, Aretha Franklin or just BET's Black Girls Rock. She tells women to Bow Down, wears black face, wishes she was another type of woman (Latina and X, Y, Z), happily strips down for GQ but complains in the same article that men define sexiness. The all female band she has is a farce because if you watch her I Am Yours DVD you will see that she works them like slaves. In the DVD, Bey admits that she keeps working and working and sometimes the band members have to raise there hands to get permission from her to go to the bathroom. Her band members looked tired and mad during the rehearsal footage on that DVD. If she's this great force for women where is her foundation (I haven't heard the Survivor thing she has do anything much), where is her camp for girls, where is her community outreach service (oh, her community outreach is her overpriced concerts and bad lyrics), why isn't she speaking at colleges or conferences or addressing congress on behalf of women? Why isn't she on talk shows giving in depth interviews on things she is doing to uplift women. She doesn't even offer encouragement-oh, wait, she does, all women just go get Drunk in Love.
