Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a popular feminist writer but she's not a star or well known outside of the black feminist circle. And yet, even though a major recording artist just featured her words on her album, on a song that everyone claims makes Beyonce the top feminst icon, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has not said a single word in response to this new found fame or how she feels about Beyonce.
I think it's pretty darn safe to say that this woman is no fan of Beyonce and doesn't' consider her a feminist icon. I think she's happy for the royalties and the money, but I think the fact that she has not said a word all this time later is quite interesting.
What do you guys think? Why do you think she's offered no comment on how she feels about being a part of Beyonce's music?

I heard that the part of her lecture that was featured on Beyonce's song was taken from a Ted Talks, she probably had no idea her words were going to be used in that context. She can't be happy about it, Beyonce (aka.my husband runs me) is the antithesis of a feminist and that song is ridiculous! Hopefully she was paid correctly and won't have to sue, like everyone else that Beyonce borrows from. Her silence on this issue is speaking volumes!

That woman wants no part in this nonsense. Can you blame her? I think Beyonce took what this woman said and used it (along with that Grown Woman song) as an excuse for her extremely sexual album which made a world full of Basicas feel like they were apart of some great movement cause they run the world and can do whatever they want.

Because I haven't listened to many songs from Beyonce's new album, I had to go and do a little digging to see exactly what this is all about. It's Beyonce "inspiring" someone's talent again. 9 times outta 10, someone brought this to Bey's attention and told her it would be good to use while she's waving her BS feminist flag gimmick, because I cannot fathom Beyonce being smart enough to do this on her own. Anyway, here's the link for anyone who's interested. www.theguardian.com/books/2013/dec/13/beyonce-samples-chimamanda-ngozi-adichie-feminism-talk

I mean seriously the girl can't barely put a correct sentence together but would know Ngozi Adichie'w work? Hard to believe from someone who doesn't even know what feminism means.

Just saw the video "Flawless" ....what was she thinking??? I hated it, she looked crazy. I did think the "Blue" video was nice, even though she featuring herself as the main attraction. The "Pretty Hurts" video was good, as a short film. I was pleasantly surprised! I just hated the song or maybe it was her voice? Too bad the song didn't have more depth, it might have been a good song and video combo.

She said she went on Youtube to look for feminists and found Ngozi. Youtube is her go to for research, remember?

This woman embrasses me. And she probably used the words without asking and they are probably arleady talking it out behind closed doors. you know how Beyonce does.

Dammmm that entire video stunk up my house! "C R A Z Y" and I don't mean in a good way. I'm dialing for an exorcism after I post my comment. Not to mention, I have NO IDEA what she ways saying, must be getting old, slow ears..... it wasn't making any kind of sense. I have seen a few of the videos from this new album (no way could I watch them all) and I will say that she did throw in a variety of themes......and that was interesting. IMO I would have left the porn videos on the cut-up-floor, too many of them. I got it MUSH brain, U think U is sexy? Do I have that right?
There is no way old girl got permission first, that is not her usual MO.
