The black feminist writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the woman who's lecture Beyonce used on "Flawless" to pass herself off as a feminist icon, is NOT here for Beyonce. I didnt' watch the whole video yet so I can't give a time stamp, but apparently, in this interview, she is asked about what she thinks of Beyonce using her lecture on the new album and she responds "no comment". That says it ALL. This woman does not approve of Beyonce's image and totally knows that Beyonce simply used her to market herself as a feminst to all these dumb chicks out here who worship her. Much respect to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for not cosigning this bullshit and seeing Beyonce for the fake that she is.
It's an hour long and I'm still trying to watch it to get the exact time but it's somewhere in this video:

Around 31:35 is when the interviewer asks about the Ted Talk excerpt. She didn't say "No comment," she only said no and then no a few seconds later (I think). She talked a little of the gist of the (Ted) talk and reclaiming the term "feminist/m" but did not mention or really address Lil' Miss Visible Labia. I read into her body language that she was clearly guarding herself (as the interviewer gave background for the question) and I can agree she seems uninterested in specifically discussing Beykeeper/the use of the talk snippet in that song. There can be many reasons for that, lol.
I skipped around to find it, but it seems like an interesting interview. I really enjoy CNA's voice. It's so deep and rich. Her hairstyle (which she discusses and has a good line about not using time to make hair that doesn't "swing" be able to swing). People in the YT comments were annoyed with the interviewer's style and questions.

I agree, HypeDefiance. Chimamanda seemed guarded when it came to that question and really didn't mention Beysic at all. Was the sample cleared properly? 'Flawless' was the only song I listened to because I heard CNA was on it. After my initial thoughts about how terrible that song is I started to wonder if Yawnce went through the proper channels to get official permission to use that audio.

Beyonce gave her the biggest press she's gotten in her entire career and she has nothing to say about it. That tells me she does not approve of Beyonce using her words and having her scholarly work associated with a wig wearing whore.

Yes ladies, I agree. Thanks for posting this Kels! Chimamanda's body language is extremely guarded at the 31:35 mark (her hand was actually covering her mouth), her silence on Beyonce's borrowing of her words speaks volumes! Eboney.com posted a interview with her 2 days ago and asked her about Beyonce sampling her work, again she said NOTHING ABOUT BEYONCE:

What can she really say? This can be bad for business. She's trying to preach one thing and Beyonce is misconstruing her words to fit her own agenda of creating super hoes. By the standard of Beyonce all the porn stars and strippers are feminists.
She should just go ahead and blast her but you never know what consequences that would have.

Exactly! @backup Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can see this woman's agenda is all for the benefit of self. She has always been good at taking something and reflecting it onto herself for popularity and monetary gain. The problem with that is her actions never live up to all that BS talking and singing she does. All Beyonce is doing is confusing the hell out of misinformed women. If I didn't know any better, I would think Yonce's "Feminist Movement" starts and ends with the right to show her labia without getting any flack for it. @kels, Thanks for this video. There is absolutely no way Beyonce could stand next to this woman. Yonce, wish she was a real leader like, Ms. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and had just an ounce of her intelligence, to boot. Now...I don't have a very strong input or opinion about this Feminist Movement, but I damn sure know Beyonce ain't it!

I definitely appreciate Chimamanda's way of steering back to the actual point of what she was talking about rather than adding more content to Beyoncé's "legend" by specifically speaking on her. As others have noted, you really can't talk about Beyoncé if you're a public figure unless you want to become part of *her* story and myth (supporter-defender/"hater") and have the message of what you're doing be co-opted and/or have its meaning devalued, diminished or completely overshadowed by Beyoncé's bullshit. I wonder what she has said privately about this - if anything? I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't really commented at all, even privately. She seems like she's very capable in navigating around "distractions" and remaining on-point, on-task.
It must be annoying to be interviewed by various outlets about her experiences, stances and views, and have them find it necessary to shoehorn Beyoncé into the discussion because of her use of the TT clip. The interviewers *could* just ask Chimamanda about her stance on feminism and her Ted Talk -- they really don't even have to mention Beyoncé and that tone-deaf, manipulative ass shit she/her team pulled (although, it would be pretty awesome if an interviewer DID ask about the use of the clip in the context of it being misused/appropriated by a scheming, lying, thieving hypocrite).
Going back to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's hairstyle: I thought it very appropriate - given her demeanor, her background and her discussions - that she wore a style that evokes a notion of royalty (it looks like she's wearing a crown). It stands in stark contrast to Beyoncé's constant efforts to "crown" herself these past several years through images, self-created titles, media and industry rhetoric and stan fervor.
LMAO @ "her agenda of creating super hoes" (backup26)

Like others have stated, Beyonce had her own agenda, and Ms. Chimamanda isn't a fool. Bey used that audio to save face for her arrogant, ratchet tantrum that she threw in the "Bow down" song. Anyone with half a brain can realize Bey is full of so much shit. It made no sense to use Chimamanda's speech in that ratchet, silly song. I challege Bey to explain (of the top of HER OWN head) what Chimamanda stands for. NOOOOOOO!!!! Please take it back. No one wants to hear another one of those sorry second grade class president speeches. Clearly her feminist movement is against higher education.

LMAO @ "her agenda of creating super hoes" (backup26) Exactly. This woman is brilliant. By not even mentioning Beyonce and steering the conversation back to what matters, she nullifies Beyonce and her attempts to make any and everything about herself. I LOVE that she refuses to let Beyonce co-opt her hard work. Her silence and avoidance of discussing Beyonce is even BETTER than her attacking Beyonce. Because attacking her would also make BEYONCE the focus! I love that this woman refuses to support or be flattered that Beyonce stole her work. And I love that the way she keeps Beyonce in her place is not even to talk about her. Genius.

You know she was given a session at a New York Public library no to long ago. I only wish that I was in attendance, that would have been an amazing event that I would have witnessed

I just want to know if Bey got permission to use the audio You know she didn't. that's probably why this lady doen't want to hear that stealing heiffers name. And Bey knows she is wrong. She remembers how she was caught out lying about Etta James and he meeting and bonding when Etta told reporters at some red carpet that she'd never even met the hussie. So she probably doesn't want to push it this time. Shejust did the crime and is quiet about it.
