There are many Hip Hop couples that have been very public with their relationships like Ciara and Future, Naya Rivera and Big Sean, but I think the biggest threat to the Carter Throne could be Drake and Rihanna. For the past couple of weeks, photos of Drake and Rihanna have been all over the blogs. Many blogs are reporting that Drake and Rihanna are hooking up and this time it's for keeps. Drake and Rihanna are young and both are doing big things in the music world. I believe if they can make it work this time around, their union could be a big, big threat to the Carters. The media are really getting sick of Bey and J so it's a matter of time before the music industry work their magic and pick a new royal couple. Rihanna's brother, Rory, stated in 2012 that,"Drake and Rihanna used to be together – and he’s a pretty cool dude. ‘I was in a club in LA, and he saw me and came over. I was nearly his brother-in-law, but I didn’t know him so well, so I was touched by that.” hellobeautiful.com/2012/04/10/rihannas-brother-rory-says-drake-was-like-his-brother-in-law/Drake is at least willing to fight for Rihanna (remember his ongoing fued/fight with Chris Brown) more than what we have seen JZ do for Beyonce.

That would be a staged relationship as many people have stated that Drake is in fact gay. But like I said, I don't know much about him. I think it would take a lot of PR to make them seem like a threat to Beyhumps. They have an image of being power players and making major decisions and making or breaking people's careers. etc etc. I doubt Rihanna and Drake even have the desire to commit to such exhausting PR schemes. they don't care enough about their image to be nuts like Beyhumps. Now that's not to say that the public won't "choose" them. Especially if they give off the impression of bringing out the best in each other. Like if each of them comes out with a killer album or starts a really great era in their profesional lives during their time together. In terms of likeability, and public perceptions then yes, they could definately overthrow the Carters. This world is obsessed with youth and vitality and that's one thing Drihanna have over Beyhumps. Also looks. Whilst I think Drake is unfortuante looking I'm sure the whole world would agree that next to camel, he looks like a young Brad Pitt. If Rih stops with the drugs and badgirl behaviour then I imagine the 2 of them would be a marketer's dream. Beyonce can't sell anything with Camel, Camel can't sell anything with camel. Also, unlike NorthWest, Frankenbaby cannot be used to sell anything. Not even an image. I have no clue what a Drihanna baby might look like, but if they made one, perhaps it could also help sell the fairytale.
Come to think of it, there a various things that are chipping away at the Carter empire that are out of their control. It's crumbling but I can't see which one would take its place. The Kimye empire is on the up and up of late what with Kimye on the cover of Vogue. But they have aa long way to go and Kanye's crazy will probably mess everything up.

Great name choice for them - Drihanna. Your right these two have a long way to go and a lot of PR-ing to do in order to be music's chosen couple. I wonder if Drake and Rihanna's ambition to be the best is as strong as B&J's to pull this love story off. Rihanna's drug use is going to slow her down or now to think about it, the drugs could kill her before the relationship even starts and Drake is very sensitive. Rihanna stated in her Vogue 2014 interview, “I did sing a lot as a child. A lot. I practiced hard to maneuver my voice. I love singing. I love it, and it doesn’t feel like a chore. It’s an expression. I never wanted to be famous. I just wanted my music to be heard all over the world. Then it happened and the fame came with it. I can’t ever imagine feeling used to it.” www.vogue.com/magazine/article/rihanna-fashions-most-exciting-new-muse/#3 Her quote tells me that she may not be up to the shenanigans that she would have to do to make this a King/Queen relationship. If it does work out, it will progress naturally maybe like real people's relationships which is rare in hollyweird.

Hmm, I hate Drakes voice, that whiney nonsense. And it seems like lots of rappers (if that's what their called) are trying to "whine" like him, its sad so with that said, I dont listen to rap. I was trying to think who would take their place. If it was up to me it wouldn't be Drake. It would be no one. Hip hop as some of us knew it is dead, I'd let it die, cuz there's actually no one else to carry the torch. Camel only wants to talk about material gains, which is temporary, etc, cars clothes, money , hoes...that's tired now.
So no one should take this spot. Since hip hop has died, lets pay our respects and put it to rest. And move on.
That's my opinion.
