The so-called greatest album of this generation is now number 22 on the charts, after just being released in mid-December.
To put that in perspective, the soundtrack for the animated film "Frozen" was released about 3 weeks before "Beyonce" and today, it sits at NUMBER ONE on the chart. And it's been number on for 8 WEEKS! It is the most successful album to be released since Adele's "21".
Another interesting fact is that Lorde's album "Pure Heroin" was released in September of last year and is number 10 on the chart right now. Frozen is a bonafide phenomenon and Lorde's album seems to have steady staying power, still being in the top 10 after 7 months on the chart.
Just wanted to put that out there to keep the hype over Beyonce's album in perspective. As I said when it was first dropped, it is no more successful than "4" was. It's a borderline flop and pretty much died after a month. No mega sales, no dominating the albums chart, not a number one song on the entire album, etc. All hype.

Beyonce's stans don't have longterm memory. In 2 years time they will swear this album was the best ofthe decade. Because all they remember is the hype surrounding it when it dropped.
