Yep, your favorite (hahahahaha!) girl made the cover and the top of the list. And yes, she's in tighty-whitey underwear: Beyonce Covers Time Magazine. This cover and her being No. 1 is definitely for magazine sales. If they wanted her to be on the cover to sell magazines, that's fine. (I'm in the media business, so I get it. Sadly.) But why couldn't she be more covered up? As a feminist/womanist (I know those words on the DR forum is sacrilegious, but I'm not apologizing for who I choose to be), I love it when woman embrace their sexuality through style. I have no qualms about that. But I also get sick of women being sexualized at EVERY given moment, including their style. This is the cover of a well-established, high-quality magazine. She (or in this case, the editor and/or photographer), should've chosen a better outfit. Not saying she should be donned in a nun's habit, but form-fitting jeans and a tank top or t-shirt would've been better than this. That photo works better for a Vogue or Harper's Bazaar cover. But Time Magazine? Um, no. It goes to show that sex really does sell. (Also, not too many people on the Internet are talking about Bey being on the cover. It wasn't a tending topic on Twitter this morning, and no one in my Facebook news feed is discussing it--except for one gossip blog, and that's where I found out about it. Is this another sign of an epic downfall from the "queen"? Methinks so.)

"Feminist" shouldn't be a dirty word anywhere, the issues is the dirty self appointed ambassadors of feminism and the poisonous agenda that's hidden under the reasonable cries for fair wages and respect. But on to the the foolery, I think Beyonce paid for that cover and had her own people do the art direction.

I'm not hating but her cover outfit was downright frumpy they could have chosen a better looking outfit even if it was revealing. and I agree with you 200% . I like it when women are able to express themselves (I like dressing sexy myself) but I dislike it when ever time you even see a woman on tv shes either barely dressed (and not in a tasteful way) or shes vying for an arrogant male's attention (especially on reality shows). Its annoying, and contrary to popular belief It DOES influence how men treat women in everyday real life. Ive noticed that alot of men (not all) are alot more abrasive towards women, even women theyre attracted to. men have no problem talking down to a woman even in formal places. I seriously belief theres a misogynistic, anti-woman agenda in the "Illuminati"/TPTB. I'm trying to figure out why, but I feel it may have something to do with the power of a woman's spirituality and nurturing/creative/humanitarian potential. I could be wrong, but I feel that may be at least part of the reason. what do you think of that theory? I'm trying to figure it out..

I hate seeing faux "feminists" on TV who seem to be just competitive/rude as the people they accuse. I'm an "exotic" feminist and it bothers me because they make true feminists (like LadyTay and me and others) look bad

Women, especially black women, (no offense to those who aren't) can be very strong spiritually. and make excellent "family backbones" so to speak, if given a chance to be raised in nuturing home by other strong black women. TPTB know this which is why they encourage unstable homes in black families. Abortions that mess with the black woman's psyche. Unstable "baby mama" stastus, disruption in black homes. I reiterate, the agenda affects all of us regardless of race but I'm sure they tailor their weapons to be most effective within each race and community. I'm sure they have other ways they use with white and other race families.

The only reason they put her on Times magazine is for sells, I believe she is also jealous that Lupita was named the Most Beautiful Person in the World, because yesterday everybody was talking about her. I see some blogs are dissing her, if you go on dlist, clutch magazine, rhymes, everybody when in on her. I would also like to know what Sandberg means when she said, "Beyoncé doesn’t just sit at the table. She builds a better one." like WTF?

Usually the fleahive is out in full force when it comes to whatever honors she "earns"...but then again most of them probably don't read TIME magazine, so they probably didn't even know. LOL Beyphomet is influential, but not in a good way. Stan culture - i.e., obsessively, virulently, and irrationally dedicated fandom - didn't really become a thing until her solo career took off, and once it grew it spread into other areas of popular culture. It's to the point where some people are actually proud to be described as a Stan when it comes to their favorite musician/actor/TV show/book series/etc. and they're so emotionally invested in these things/people that it's verging on worship. She didn't cause the Stan mentality (low self-esteem and social manipulation are the real causes, imo) but it's been popularized and encouraged by her brand.

And did u guys check out the thick eyebrows and the blank stare? So this pic is supposed to tell me that she's an influential woman?......nah, I don't get that vibe, this pic says it's pretty much over...I mean she either looks scared as hell or just zombiefied, ole girl is defeated. But still swimming for her life in this pop arena. And I can hear who's cracking the whip. Yep old Gay Z. Tha pimp. Eat tha cake Anna Mae, NOT glorifying abuse at all, but Grl just gone and move across the pond quickly. This would make lots of people happy. I hope Blue will be well rounded and have a better start in life . That's the most important thing right now, the baby, reguardless who her biological mom is. Much success to the baby. And P.O. BEYONCE AND JAY Z...PLEASE DONT HAVE ANOTHER BABY CUZ the two of you aren't mentally ready. Another baby would just be more PR. We don't want that, no more deflating bellies, no more fake motherhoods, I mean really, who would do that? Oh you. Well this is my open letter to you to as a back in the day STAN!! Please stopp being the whore and pimp. That shits old.

Beyonce is indeed influential. That is the issue and understand what that influence truly has been.
We are always the ones that just don't get it or just don't care. I know we on this site care about the youth's self esteem, mental health, self-actualization and it seems to be slowly catching on that this imagery that Beyonce promotes and represents is toxic to youth and inappropriate for youth, PERIOD.
Another thing that I am so tired of is the hypocrisy of the Beyonce brand (desperation) to latch on to whatever people are talking about or whatever can get her money. She is even coming for the buzz Lupita has generated with this whole #whatispretty. I saw something at a glance about a website or something and her releasing the song Pretty Hurts. Just talking about getting ejaculated on, drunk, bow down bish, now Pretty hurts and what is pretty since these have been the discussions (what is pretty) that Lupita is bringing.
That cover like I saw someone say on another site looks like she's been hit in the back of the head with a rubber mallet.

Hmmmm, Beyonce is most influential when she wears 50's undergarments or depends (shout out to giftofdiscernment ), interesting. She looks very zoned out, almost like the girl from The Ring! I agree, that she is influential but in the ways that you all have listed on this thread Not in the way Time is trying to convince us Her fans stans are almost like a gang that blindly accept whatever she presents to them (ie folding baby bump) without using any critical thoughts of their own. She's constantly digging into their pockets (they gotta buy the new tour tickets, again), lowering their vibrations. She tells them to bow down and they happily sing along, smh. They attack other artists female artists for being lewd ( ie Rhianna), but praises Beyonce when she steals said artists style. Speaking of stealing, if she was so influential in music wouldn't artist be inspired by her and not the other way around??? (See The BIG Thread of Beyonces Lies and Stealing History for 8 pages of examples)
More importantly what influence has her Bottom B mentality, narcissism, hyper-sexuality, spiritual retardation, etc had on the young impressionable souls that are constantly being bombarded (attacked) with images of her? What messages is she putting in her music? At the end of the day, who does she really serve and what is she truly trying influencing people to do? Wake up!!!!!!

You might be on to something. When Beyonce wants us to know about her "accomplishments" she lets us know. The whole world knows she blasts it everywhere and it's inescapable. But with this it was other random "small scale or anti-bey sources. No beyhive madness. None of that. Another theory could be that she thought it would be somehow groundbreaking to be on time in her underwear. At this point Beyonce's idea of feminism is being naked and showing holes at inapropriate moments.

"She may have just have been reinitiated. Like they got her in mk ultra programming this year again"
I really think they did !
From her sasha fierce album!
I lay alone awake at night Sorrow fills my eyes But Im not strong enough to cry Despite my disguise
I bottle all my hurt inside, I guess I'm living a lie. Inside my mind each day I die What can bring me back to life?
I've given too much of myself And now its driving me crazy I'm crying out for help? Sometimes I wish someone would Just come here and save me Save me from myself When she's left all alone And shes crying out for help Who's there to save the hero Who's there to save the girl
Britney Spears had lucky and another song which i can not remember.
