What Would Have Worked Better for Beyonce...

She could have done that belladonna, but she's not savvy enough to think that far ahead. She's not like Jennifer Lopez, who used Piddy da Fool to boost her street cred (I'm not saying they weren't really in love, but that relationship did a lot for her "urban" appeal on her first couple of albums), used Ben Affleck to boost her mainstream crossover appeal (her appearance became a lot blonder and whiter, more Genevieve from Park Avenue than Jenny from the Block), and then used Marc Anthony to pop out some kids and reestablish herself with Latinos.

I think that Matthew is savvy enough to orchestrate something like what you're talking about but Bey isn't. Since she's never really had to think for herself Matt didn't really teach her how to strategize like that; it was probably his way of insuring that he'd stay on her payroll indefinitely. Also, he probably didn't put his foot down enough when it came to how romantic partners can affect one's image. If he had Beydummy's life could be very different right now. She could have married some wealthy private citizen like you mentioned or she could have married a politician/diplomat and secured some political power for herself. She even could have married another pop artist with comparable image and pubic appeal if being music "royalty" was really that important to her. Instead of being "On the Run" with Joe Camel she could have been on the "Caught Up" tour as Mrs Knowles-Raymond or the "Take Back the Night" tour as Mrs. Knowles-Timberlake (I'm not saying either of these dudes wanted her, I'm just giving examples of what could have been).

If Bey had played it like J-Lo, we'd be seeing a different Bey today. She might still have a career that's falling off (it happens to the best of them) but at least her image wouldnt be as tarnished and confusing!

You all (in my opinion) give Beyonce wayyyyy too much credit. It's easy to say oh, she should have married a diplomat but as a person, through the blessings that I have been given, I have had the opportunity to work with 'diplomats' and attend graduate school with their children, have had some leisure moments with them and from my direct and personal experience, education is wayyyy to important and expected that none of them would be interested in marrying remedial Beyonce, and she is remedial.

The ability to talk across subjects, industries, countries, cultures, trends (not pop culture---financial, social, historical) is just basic and again expected. Beyonce is not cultured in this manner in the least, in fact, she is the opposite, she is uncultured, uneducated, unrefined and unsuitable as a spouse for these types. A F&(*C perhaps, but marraige? To a girl woman that can't even talk, but looks good, naw.

The joke is on the black community once again for all this "queen garbage' this is an insult to all the true queens of our community. That overcame, that educated themselves, their families, that stood for something substantive, that were truly humble, God fearing soldiers and warriors.

Beyonce is with the person she belongs with, he is the male versio of her. A thirsty, ready to be used to be "exalted" in the black community at the expense of the community. no values, ethics, morals, just a whole lot of fake fake and more fake,

They need to be run out of the community, door locked so we can do the work to heal our community from years of toxic waste in the form of this death music and death images.

Usher, perhaps, another R&B person, but diplomats, millionaires, BWAHAAAAAAA they have money to buy 'fine' women and they do, they marry for much much more than what some black people obviously think is the prize, looks are not even the top 21) family background 2) personal background--education, interests, etc... 3) Maybe Looks start coming in...

I didn't give Beydummy any credit, I gave her father credit because he's the mastermind of her career. She could have been better than "rememdial" as you put it, or done a much better job of hiding her basicness, if she was driven to do so (either self motivation or her father pushing her on). And really, nothing in my comment precludes yours; your comments are in line with observations I've made in other threads when I've talked about other celebs in comparison to Bey. When her solo career was fresh she could have made up for 'lost time', so to speak - charm school, lots of elocution lessons, finishing high school, lots of independent learning if she didn't want to do college, and getting involved with national and global humanitarianism before her career it the skids. All of these things would have enhanced her professional brand and enhanced her as a person, which would have been a trememdous display of SAVVY and knowing how to play one's cards. I'll agree to disagree because I absolutely believe that she could have made herself more desirable as a brand and a wife if her father had pushed her to do so.

I also agree with this.  If it weren't for Mathew and Jay taking care of the business politics she wouldn't be where she is.  We're in a time where talent has no place like talking about it.  It's all politics and for a woman who can hardly put two complete sentences together, it's safe to say she's not dealing with the politics.  There would have been no way she would've left Mathew if Jay or even with someone with the same type of  characteristics as these two men weren't around.  These types of men like control, so they learn all about the politics,  Which is probably fine with Bey because obviously all she cared about was becoming a mega star and making money.  Mathew may have burned a few bridges, but up until recently it was Jay who was rubbing elbows with powerful elite members, which is important when you're trying to make big moves.  So besides performing and doing a few sexual favors...What the hell was Beyonce going to talk about with folks who not only are powerful but help run this world?  Every big Diva there ever was was groomed to do this.  Whether they were taught by others, read a book, or somehow familiarized themselves with past and present events.  Beyonce can't even promote Feminism without coming across as a dunce.  And had the nerve to have this as part of her schtick.  We could either laugh because she's so pathetic or cry because this wench actually has a platform.  First she says..."A diva is female version of a hustla", and now it's...Look at my bare ass world, I'm a "Feminist".  That's not what a diva is and for damn sure showing booty cheeks and ass crack does not make her a true Feminist.  Bottom line:  Somebody had to be the mouth piece for this heffa, so she could work.  I just can't see her working out the politics on her own and rising to that mega star level.  For crying out loud, this woman is the one who said Obama makes her want to be smarter.  (Than a 5th grader)

You guys are so right. And I'm surprised that as much as Beyonce copied from Jlo she did not manage to see and copy her most effective business strategy. Jenny has made publically using men to advance her career into an art form. As hardworking as she is one must admit that she ought to thank these guys for helping her become who she is today. Every stage of her career had a perfectly selected boyfriend to go with.  And it worked like a charm.

Like it or not, Nori has given Kim an extra 5 maybe even 10 minutes in the spotlight. She's adorable enough to cover the fact that her father is a dick and her mama is a whore. Kim is smarter than Beyonce in marketing Nori.

Yes I have and have heard a lot too, most of which I cannot even share as most don't believe it.

It was and is a dream come true, but the one thing I do wish I could share without people trying to fight me over what I know, so I don't say much.
