It’s my daughter, she’s my biggest muse.
There’s someone, we all find out soon,
more important than ourselves to lose.
I feel a deep bond with young children –
all those photos in my dressing room –
especially those who’ve been stricken,
Children I’ve met across the years –
they uplift me like pieces of moon,
and guide me, whispering in my ear
I’m turned to spirits, the emotions of others.
And I feel her presence all the time
though I never met my grandmother.
I learned at a very young age,
when I need to tap some extra strength,
to put my persona, Sasha, on stage.
Though we’re different as blue and red,
I’m not afraid to draw from her
in performance, rifts, even in bed.
I saw a TV preacher when I was scared,
at four or five, about bad dreams,
who promised he’d say a prayer
If I put my hand to the TV.
That’s the first time I remember prayer,
an electric current humming through me.
You call me a singer, but I’m called to transform,
to suck up the grief, anxiety, and loss
of those who hear me into my song’s form.
I’m a vessel for all that isn’t right,
for break-ups and lies and double-cross.
I sing into that vessel a healing light.
To let go of pain that people can’t bear.
I don’t do that myself, I call in the light.
I summon God to take me there.
Utopias, they don’t much interest me.
I always mess things up a bit.
It’s chaos, in part, that helps us see.
But for my daughter I dream a day
when no one roots for others to fail,
when we all mean what we say.

I'm a big fan of many different forms of Poetry-both contemporary (deep with no rhymes/alot of symbolism and artisitic metaphors) as well as more traditional poems, sonnets and haikus.
that being said (and I really don't mean to sound rude) this poem was very...confusing. Its almost as if she begins a thought comparison..then jumps to something totally random...even if shes never written poetry before...It just has a lackluster , perplexing element to it. I wanted to understand it but I struggled to do so...and I've taken many creative writing and Literature classes in my life :/
I guess its the thought that counts..as long as she wrote it from her heart.

All that poem is, is just Cameltoe digging around and flipping through her magick book trying to put code words together to cast more spells. She wants to be MJ so bad with that "bond with young children" BYE. Her own daughter was pulling away from her and kids don't care for her. I've never seen a loving pic with her and a kid. Plus it takes me back to her Punk'd episode on how non remoreseful she was when she dropped those poor kids Christmas tree. Bitch checked her nails, it would've been a sad day for them it that was real.
And how is her daughter her daughter her muse when she doesn't do shit but steal. She's not an artist. Not to mention her daughter is only like 2. Her daughter inspired her to say "he Monica lewinsky'd on her gown" or any of those other shitty lyrics on her album? I CAN'T

Ya'll I can't. I read this poem and I have come to the conclusion that Beyonce is very, very, very confused, mentally ill, and crying out for help. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't this woman say she had killed Sasha Fierce and said that she didn't need her anymore. If you are a strong, independent woman, and a feminist and lets not forget a flawless boss, why does she need Sasha Fierce? Sasha Fierce seems like a dark entity to me. I am sorry but a force that comes on you and turn you into a straight harlot that makes you forsake all of your morals is not right. Tina, please come and get Be and show her some love because this woman is full of confusion (I am hearing Phyllis Hyman's Living in Confusion song right now).
Let's be real, Be wants to have it all; fame, fortune, good girl/bad girl image, and most of all icon status but all of that comes with a heavy price to pay. Maybe the payments are due and she don't like the bill and there are no institutions that will give her credit because of all of her fraudulent transactions (institutions that won't give her credit = no songwriters to give her a hit, no real friends to give advice or listen to her gripe, no real fans -just ones that want the glam but not the real woman and most of all...the media ain't scared of her no more therefore, she can't get glowing praise from the Associated Press so she has to resort to personal PR Jedi Mind Tricks).
As you get older, hopefully you get wiser and become more aware of yourself and your surroundings. Be is in her 30's maybe 40's and possibly menopausal (if she uses steroids, man she is sick) so she should be seriously thinking about her life, making sure she is on track with were she wants to be in life. Be knows people are calling her out for all the foolishness and I am so thankful that more than the so called "original haters" are onto her fraudulent transactions (lying, stealing, & backstabbing). Be knows that if she don't play these cards right she will gain that whole world but lose her soul. Maybe that answers why she is doing all of this God talk now. Did ya'll notice that she was talking like a church lady at the VMA's saying stuff like, "I am so full" and "my beloved". Who calls their husband my beloved? That right there let me know that either Be is seeking spiritual help from some crazy guru like Lauren Hill & Left Eye or performing a Jedi Mind Trick.
Be better get off her high horse and sit down somewhere. And please don't have no baby right now. Did ya'll notice that her PR was saying Wednesday that she was pregnant. But I am so glad that Shakira announced that she is the one from Roc Nation that is really pregnant.

Goodness. She is seriously special needs. Like a little kid that just discovered something and is fascinated with it. They learn the word "no" and use it to answer everything. She keeps posting bees and honeycomb or anything related to it. Like why? It's like "look! this is a bee and my name starts with a B" "this is a picture of honeycomb, bees make honeycomb, I'm B" wow that's so interesting and deep -___- she's so dumb and annoying.
