Great find, pikqa babi. I remember hearing about Kelly being bumped from a VIBE cover because Ratty Matty strong-armed some people. Kelly had an album coming out that month but Beybully didn't have anything major going on. Some "sister", right?

That had to be hurtful.... Beyonce is wrong for this... Kelly needed a better support system cause they had their foots on her neck from the beginning. What's funny is that people always say that "Kelly isn't as pretty, talented or can't sing like Beyonce." If thats the case then why are they always so shoot down and steal her opportunities? Talent speaks for itself and if kelly was no competition, I'm sure we would have figured that out without them stealing covers and treating her like cinder ella.

If I were Kelly, now thaat I was about to become a mother I would want to keep the knowles far far away from my baby. I wouldn't let my child grow up with that same compleex between her and Blue Ivy. I would not let the cycle repeat. I'd literally never see Beyonce again. Not even for public appearances. Even with that last album they owe their record lable as DC. I'd make it so when she was in the studio, I wouldn't be there.

That Cover with Kelly Rowland NEVER happened. Beyonce had her bumped so she could be on the cover. SMH They still did a story on her in the same issued called "hidden in plan site". If you actually click on the picture and read the cover tag lines it looks like they just changed the name from Kelly and added Beyonce.

May 4, 2007: Last week, MediaTakeOut.com reported that Vibe magazine had decided to put Beyonce on the cover of its latest issue. But we didn't tell you how Beyonce managed land the cover. You see, it turns out that Kelly Rowland was originally set to be Vibe's cover girl - until Beyonce had her way.
MediaTakeOut.com spoke exclusively to a person who works at the magazine. And according to the insider, Vibe promised the June cover to Kelly months ago. The insider explains, "Usually, we try and give the cover to an artist whose album drops that month. So for example, we had R Kelly [who's album Double Up drops May 29th] on the cover of the May issue ... When Kelly announced that she was releasing her comeback album in June, we set her to cover the June issue."
But according to our insider, everything changed once Beyonce learned her label mate had landed the cover. The tipster explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "About a month ago, we started hearing that Beyonce wanted to do an interview with us - so we jumped at it." The insider continued, "Usually when Beyonce gives us an interview - we give her the cover ... but we figured that since [she] and Kelly are so close, she wouldn't ask us for it."
But Beyonce's reps reportedly demanded that she be on the cover. Tells the insider, "They were basically like - if you don't put her on the cover, then don't expect any interviews in the future ... We almost couldn't believe what we were hearing."
Kelly Rowland and Beyonce are both managed by Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles. Her latest album, entitled Ms. Kelly is set for release next month.

I wouldn't be surprised if it really was brainwashing and not regular low self-confidence. I've seen interviews where Kelly talks about Beyallaboutme and it's like her demeanor changes...not like a full-on cult member but it's creepy enough to be noticeable. |

What if Destinys Child never took off?
Matthew should hace treated all his girls equally, especially Bey snd Kelly. Kelly could have been a star on the same leve, if not greater than Beyonce. People are so color struck. Kelly is beautiful and natural and down to earth, unlike Beyonce. A real manager would have made sure his girls had the proper training. I don't like how he handled tge situation. Latoya was kicked out the group and still made it. Latavia has the reality show but I don't watch stuff like that. Michelle broke off and does her thing. So what's up with Kelly?
I need a tell all book to drop. It probably won't happen until (god forbid) Bey is dead. But I wanna know the real because it's crazy how the beehive shades all the destinys child members, but thet made her.

Well now that you mentioned that, if you saw dream girls Jennifer Hudson as (Jennifer holiday) actually depicted Kelly as the girl that should have sang lead. Funny how the universe comes back to remind you of your transpasses. Kelly not only had talent but she was also related to the girls of xscape, which they had connections with J.D..so with this, Matty blackmailed Kelly to stay. If Kelly was brave enough to leave, Dc3 or DC4 would be some washed up 100-hit wonder. |
