I saw this comment on RWS, this might explain why everything the do is starting to look cheap.
This year Live Nation reported a 80 million dollar loss to Shareholders and cut their Operating Budjet to just 11 Million.... This is tiny for the size of their organization and the number of Artist they have.
In addition they have been selling off portions of their Organization Just recently in the past few months they sold (Music World) which was their Artist Product Merchandising Division.
When you look at how often Jay is touring and the addition of B from Sony... to the ticket ....and reports of 100 Million Dollar ticket sales you would Expect sales to be up at Live Nation.
These HBO Ratings Numbers Correlate to the slow and low (On The Run Ticket Sales ). By comparison Madonna's Tour Sale numbers are More than Double at 300 Million with Considerable less Touring and Marketing . In addition Rolling Stones Live Nation tour sale numbers are at nearly a Billion also with Considerable less touring and Marketing.
Live Nation is Trimming the Fat and Slimming Down I suspect a Major change is on the Horizon.

Very interesting.
I don't doubt that they might have to cut acts that don't make back their money quickly. Alot goes into making "the carters". And they don't make that money back in the volumes one would expect. I woldn't be surprised if Jay Z was dropped and some major changes were made to Beyonce's lifestyle. As for them making 100 million off off the tour. ichuckle. everything she does turns to crap nowadays. instead of resting her brand they seem to be trying to squeeze the last few coins out of it before they drop her too. I'll be watching this space.

Go to my Instagram @umbotheredtartian to the 7th row, last pic and check out the crowd in Miami! I went to that Miami show courtesy of free tickets my boss gave me, u know I did not pay for that but anyway no one showed up at the tours! Huntyyyy they had half the venue blocked off when Madonna can sell a whole venue and then some. They moved those people forward (ppl on the floor) and put up a fake wall behind them, it was hella empty and I doubt they made 100 million when I left the show traffic was flowing just fine but drake show in Miami, I had to sit in traffic for 2 hours. Go figure

Yeah, thanks for posting that!...I remember checking out Ticket Masters site and there were hella seats available, in hella cities so I couldn't believe the "breaking records with tickets sales from OTR tour" PR campaign... Here is preview of the seats available for their 1st show 06/25/14 5 days before that show, the areas in dark blue mean that many seats are available, gray means no seats available:  Live Nation isn't winning with Cam and Worker Bee...smh $80 million loss. No one tuned into the HBO special and nobody is buying their music. That flawless remix is #87 on billboard:  |

Remember they added Paris and some other foreign location to their shows when they were scheduled to only do the United States? Well we all know overseas sell better so I assume love nation added it to recoup the losses they sustained in America. That wasn't the plan, but they claimed the tour was so good that they added overseas. I highly doubt it

Thank you for this bit of information. This is the kind of input that the Carters don't want to see the light of day. Especially, when they present themselves as the creme' a la creme'. The king and Queen of "We're royalty so this could never happen to us...Bow Down, Bitches!" Just by reading this information with comparisons to Madonna, with her touring less but bringing in 2 to 3 times the money the Carters brought in...makes me realize that there are some racial components connected to this. The sad part is I believe both Jay and B know this but are just so damn desperate to go along with the program, just so they can have more than other blacks in the business. Just like when Jay bragged on his percentage/ownership with a professional team. I feel he could've bargained for a higher stake but just accepted it and embellished the truth just to have bragging rights. His lies had many of us thinking he was seriously balling. Even having a daycare installed for Blue. SMH. When all the while he and his wife have been on some coon shit. And because of that they will be used, abused, and kicked out from the club. Not to mention their finances will suffer. The same kind of deal Madonna received will not be offered to the Carters. I don't see it. I mean, if we see their desperation, then I'm sure TPTB are seeing the same thing. ". |
