The amount of bashing found everywhere is incredible.
Beyonce...PLEASE do your family and livelihood a favor, and sit the phuck down, because the road you're on right now, your heart is about to be crushed.
You've done well honey, regardless of what people feel about you, that cant be taken from you...you "made it", and you had a good run...but its time to let go sweetie, or at least give it a rest.
but I know yo ass aint gonna listen.

Okay, it's like in the UK they were having a conversation about Prince Charles giving up the throne in favor of his son William, when the time comes.
Then somebody said...
But that's all he was brought up to do.
I think it's the same for Bey.
She won't know what to do with herself.

you right, and I blame Matthew and Tina for that.
well, I take that back (to an extent)...I think they did try to keep her down to earth because of the things she used to say back then....but when she got hooked up with that ole camel faced bastard is when she lost her way.

Now I think about it, I don’t remember her being so materialistic before Jay Z. I even remember her talking about changing the world. Maybe that was an act.

I dont think it was an act, but what I think happened was, she was at that age where you are just starting to try to figure out what direction you'll take the rest of your life...what your values will be....what your life will be lived for...and she was on the right path, she wasnt rooted in what she believed in yet, but her values were telling her to "try to be a good person"....then, during that very vulnerable, naive time, Ole Liver Lips came in and totally redirected her line of thinking, and unfortunately HIS line of greedy narcissistic thought pattern and values is what she ended up maturing and solidifying into...
Dont get it twisted though, she ALWAYS had the tendencies to be as greedy and selfcentered as she is, but there was *something* there in the old days that was blocking that from coming out completely. A lot of us are kinda selfish and shortsighted in our early 20's, and really thats okay, its a part of learning. Its kinda like, why toddlers are so hardheaded and stubborn..its not pleasant but its a part of the growth process.
What Jay (and extreme fame) did, was help Beyonce stay perpetually in that state of adolescent selfishness, vacousness, and simplemindedness. Short answer is - SHE NEVER GREW UP. Thats why she's not embarassed to still be singing kiddy-bop tunes, because there is no "grown woman" in her telling her that this is age inappropiate, what you're singing about.
The only time I felt a need to listen to a song like "Grown Woman" was when I was like age 19-25...after that, it would seem real stupid and redundant to be singing that, when I know damn well I'm grown and mature.
does what I'm trying to say make sense?

I’d say you broke ish down, schooled, and mended a few things.
And I now understand Mathew Knowles a little better. I think at some point after she blew up, he lost control of her career. There were probably a lot of things he didn't approve of....But that’s not to say he wasn't shady...
I think he was the most sensible person in the equation...one to care about public perception (and deal with it!)
The rest is history.

You do make sense. Though I'd have to lower that age range, I'm 25 and that grown woman song makes me feel embarrased for Beyonce. I'd say 13-19 year olds might think that song is worth something.
