When We Say "It's Jay's Fault...."

I was driving to work this morning and randomly thought about our convos about this. I've been meaning to make a post like this, to explain my position (and some others) but had been really busy.
Oftentimes, when we say that Beyonce's fall from grace is largely in part due to Jay, I think it's misconstrued (it depends on who's saying it).
There are some who attribute her greediness and fame lust to Jay, and actually believe she was a sweet angel before "his influence".
I do not believe that! I believe that Matt and Tina taught Beyonce how to go for SELF, and how to do whatever it takes to make it....*however*, I honestly believe that they also taught her how to at least carry herself decently, and not be blatantly greedy and self serving, in order to advance. That was why she made it....everyone could see that she was very driven BUT her parents taught her how to still retain at least some sort of "America's Sweetheart" type image, by at least pretending to be the type to love and support her sisters, and to carry herself decently. This was evidenced by her closer connections to Destiny's Child, even after going solo, and the fact that back in the day, Bey did have a sexy style, but it did have at least a semblance of class. There were some boundaries she didnt cross, and she said it. That overall, helped her image. In the background, she was always the narcisstic, selfish, slutty, greedy type, but she knew and did what it took to keep that from being revealed, thus endearing her to America.
Enter Jay-Z.
As we all know, Jay-Z wants to be the OWNER/MOGUL of EVERYTHING, and we see how all of his businesses and business ventures screw up due to his mismanagement. Think about that.........then ask yourself:
"Who manages Bey's career?"
There you go. Jay-z.
So now that he "manages" her, why would we think he'd be any less incompetent with that, than any of his other ventures? Just like with those ventures, he didnt know what he was doing because he is not qualified to be a entertainment MANAGER, he only wanted the title, and his narcissism makes him think he can. And its always at the expense of the person/company he was "managing".
Okay, stay with me here....so, undoubtedly, due to his incompetence, he made bad career choices for her, the same as he did with the businesses. Beyonce, even though she's narcissistic, greedy, etc, is still not that smart, and still has to be led by a man. Plus, her image was wrapped up into him at that point, so leaving him would screw up the image they were projecting at that time.
Speaking of "image", I'm on to my next point, and probably the one that explains most why the public really gives her the side eye these days....
When your career is not image based, it doesnt matter who you marry (what they look like, who they are, etc). Hell, when your career isnt image based, it almost doesnt matter what YOU look like.......... I wont say it doesnt matter, but it doesnt matter AS MUCH.
However, when you have someone like Beyonce, who's career was at least 85% based on image, and how her image made other people feel and view her.....you cannot marry, and deeply intertwine your supposedly "classy and upscale image" with someone like Jay-Z. Had Beyonce married someone along the likes of Usher, or some classy obscure businessman, her image would have EXCELLED.
Also, lets say this...no, Beyonce probably couldn't land a Rhodes scholar, or some dude who was highly intelligent, and not easily swayed by looks and money....but let's be honest, the old Beyonce, with her looks (at that time) and her career, she could have very well landed a muuuuuch better man than Jay-Z, EASILY. Even with her bird brain. And it would have done WONDERS for her career and image.
And I think if Bey had gotten her a STRONG MAN, who was really rooted, he could have actually UPGRADED HER, but in a mental way, and she could have actually developed some intelligence and REALNESS about what life is about. She may have even lost as much interest in a career, and been happy to live normally like most celebs. But instead, just like the typical bird in the hood, she went for the THUG AND THRILL, and chose a man who does not promote growth.
Jay-Z made her THINK this is what he did for her, but what he gave her was a false sense of being smart and confident and being backed by a phenomenal man/husband.
No, he cant stop her growth, but the wrong partner CAN HINDER IT. But honestly, Jay-Z is so damn ugly and "eww" that the public sees no "magic" in her image anymore, and thus we are all just so disgusted. It's made worse since they wont sit their asses down somewhere. Stop parading your ugly ass husband, and telling us about your sex life. WE DONT CARE.
Jay-Z didnt force her hand, and he didnt teach her treacherous ways, but ABSOLUTELY Beyonce's image (and thus, career) would be in a much better place, had she chosen more wisely.
And due to the fact that his association so badly tarnished her image, now EVERYTHING she does turns people off. He didnt teach her how to be ruthless, while still finessing it at the same time (like her parents taught her how to). So all that shows to the public now, is blatant and ugly GREED and VULGARITY, because neither one of them is really intelligent enough to know how to hide it.
So hopefully that explains what some of us mean when we say, we blame him. Not him directly, but his influence and the repercussions of her being his wife and star to manage.
Basically, her allegiance to Jay is a direct contradiction to the image she always tried to project. She's tearing down her own illusion, without even trying. There's nothing glamorous about her marriage and existence.
