I'm not surprised. The Carters are looking to recoup the money they spent buying Grammys and paying for positive PR after last nights fiasco. They have to be the hardest working "billionaires" in the world.

Why didn't they do this during that on the run mess? Because they were too busy pretending to be a happy couple to actually like/love each other. The rumors of their fights may have been "Jedi mind tricks" but they still don't look genuinely happy in each other's company. Girl, you know they're broke as a joke! That's why they stay touring and slaving away instead of enjoying their "billions".

I saw this coming a while back.
Funny thing is, it actually has less chance of success than their solo ventures.
Men won't buy it because they aren't interested in hearing Beyonce.
Women won't buy it because they typically don't follow and like Jay-Z songs. I wouldn't wanna have to bother with skipping over every other track because it's a Jay z song.
So that only leaves die hard stans and people who love both of them just about equally - a much narrower fan base.
This would have had more success if it would have been done during DIL Era and when Jay was in his Blueprint/Black Album phase. Don't get me wrong, it'll sell now, but back then EVERYONE woulda been curious because people were more curious about them in general.
But I knew they would save this move for desperate times. This is quite possibly the last really big PR stunt they had left. I knew they would collab, that's partly what OTR tour was setting up for.
They are so damn transparent.

I can't wait until the fake reports come out saying the album release gained 3 million new Tidal subscribers and the album sold 2 million copies in the first week. The fans will eat it up but we'll know the truth.
