Gabrielle Union alluded to Bey being in her age group in some interview a while ago. It's not unheard of for celebs to claim to be younger than they really are but I don't think Bey is a full decade older than she claims. I'd say that she's late 30s and aging very poorly, whereas her sister Kelly is also late 30s but aging better (her knees are giving away her age, though). Maybe not 1972 but I'd still say she was born before 1980.

I think Beyonce is a few years older than claimed but most of her aging comes from not taking care of her skin and wearing too much make up. I also believe lighting is damaging to the skin as well and she stays under the lights.

Beyonce has got that pillowy botox look that middle aged white women (think Meg Ryan) rock in hollywood thinking it makes them look young. when it just makes the m look like aliens.
