We've been saying it for years...eventually there was going to be an "it" girl that would be the final blow to knock Beyonce off her pedestal.
I was never convinced it was Taylor Swift.....the lanes they are in are just too different.
Kim K isnt a direct competition to Bey because they too, are in different lanes, although both overexposed.
I'm feeling like Tinashe may be it. I'm loving her youthful vibe!
First of all:
Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe (born February 6, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, actress, director, and former model.
Just the items I underlined ALONE make her tough competition for Bey.
The sad thing is, she doesnt have to be competition for Bey...but I bet THE FARM, we are about to see Beyonce go on a crusade to compete and copy this chick, probably harder than she's ever done before. And I'm so looking forward to seeing her make a fool of herself doing so!
Check out Tinashe...you can tell she's the type of chick that turns a mean girl like Beyonce into an obsessed, jealous, frantic pile of quivering insecurity! Tinashe is the new chick that everyone wants to get to know!
In the words of a Bey stan - SEETHE!!!

Yes, I had been hearing about her! I first saw her Wednesday on my Google Play front page, I clicked on her, I heard half of one of her songs, I was like, okaay! But when I initially saw her pic for her single cover, before I'd heard anything, I was like...watch out Yodel, looks like you hv some competition!! Then I heard her sing, lol I was like oh boi, the beyhive is surely about to swarm, the nest is about to be stirred up!
My daughters are 12, 13 & 14, they have an ear to the street because of school and their peers and all, so I hinted about Tinashe, and the livingroom went live lol...so the kids like her I see! I asked them about Beyonce, one went like...blah, the other two were yelling "fake", "fraud", "old" & "tired." Hey yall I wouldn't make this ish up! But when I tell yall, I laughed soo hard! These kids know what's up. I also hv a 23yr old, in college, we were talking and she used to be a HUGE stan. She fell off a couple years ago,(thank God) but anyway, the topic of music always comes up with us, last night she asked me if I'd ever heard of Tinashe, she says so far EVERYBODY likes her style and her music. Except the haters who's all like,"oh, she's trying to be like queen bey" Which is totally expected.
But I hope she knocks this has been on her butt, cuz I'm tired of hearing from her. To the left with you Yodel!!

Hmmm, I don't know. I heard one of her songs and saw the video. I can't remember the name o even the tune of the song, I saw it last week sometime. It was pretty dull. She seems very cookie cutter. Like they took the basic equation to make a "black" pop star and made her. But I do like her name, I don't know where she's from but those names are African. Tinashe in many languages means "we have a king or a king is born" Quite fitting to dethrone the old "king". but lemme go give her a second listen.

Okay I'm reading up on her, and her. Her dad is Zimbabwean and she speaks Shona fluently (one of the languages of Zimbabwe). She gets my vote for that alone. I have Zimbabwean roots and it's a big deal when a child who is not raised in Zim can speak Shona. Big Deal. So I like her for that. I've listened to three songs so far. I'm still not convinced. I think she has yet to find her image. She seems to be throwing everything at it right now, I'm getting Aaliyah, Jlo, Bey, and dashes of Rih. If she goes the brainless materialistic route then she won't make it. She has the benefit of being biracial (sadly it is a benefit, ask Alicia) so her cross over appeal is not so hard to muster. But if she goes all out hood she's going to lose her chance to get the "all important" white fan base. She seems a little too oversexualised too soon. Lik she's not playing her best cards. if she can sing and play instruments what's she doing with dubstep beats n stuff like that. I'm 5 songs in now and still have not heard anything in her voice to make me think she's "the next supreme". Looks wise, she looks like every other girl out there trying to make it. Very generic. but she youth on her side. She has already gotten a boob job. not a good one, she's got a tiny frame and is quite lean, those boobs are too big for her, she should have seen rihanna's surgeon. 8 songs and 1 commercial in: For a 22 year old, when she speaks she seems like she trying to cater to angsty teenagers. but everyone is trying to do that nowadays, all those "be yourself, you're beautiful, no jdgement, I'm just like you," type speeches that celebs like to give to no one in particular. It seems like Tinashe is just rattling of the rhetoric, but that was an ad. and i imagine it's scripted. For a professional dancer, she's very messy with her footwork and her moves aren't very original, nothing you can't see at the club. i think she needs better management and a better team overall. Her greatest asset is her greatest weakness IMO. She is blan and generic. This is good becuase this means she can be molded into anything TPTb want her to be. This is bad because she seems to lack star power. but then again star power nowadays is made of lacefronts, lighting and photoshop so it mgiht not matter. One interview in: She doesn't seem to want to rep Zim at all. She's happy to be claimed by kentucky and LA but makes a funny face about Zimbabwe: However everything I said above is irrelevent. If she is the chosen one, she will succeed. If a star could made out of the lier and the fraud that is Beyonce, then anyone can be made a star. As many songs as I can take in: I've gone from being a little unimformed and unimpressed to being better informed and still unimpressed. But with some good marketing and perception management, she'll be aight, because the same people who latched onto Beyonce will still need a void to fill. and there'll be a new generation of stan types to gather. At the end of the day, like I said. If they want her to be it, she will be it.

Ti- should sound like it would in spanish. a hard T not a soft one, like (in spanish, Tia or Tio) Nah- should sound like how people say no some times, like "nah son." She- should rhyme with "meh" (sound u make when u DGAF)

I don't know. Last month I watched about 30 seconds of one of her videos and I wasn't impressed. We do however live in an age where mediocrity is hailed as greatness so you never know. I personally see Rihanna as Beyonce's karma. A below average singer who may or may not be sleeping with her husband, can't dance and is a lazy performer is slaying Beyonce right now. She and her fans would be able to accept it easier if a more talented artist was getting the best of her but the fact that it's Rihanna of all people is eating them up....I'm enjoying this.

I dont know. I loved all her music before she did Aquarius. She is lyrically talented and produced her own instrumentals as well. God i hope she doesn't end up being led astray. I would just rather her do more behind the scenes work.
Im proud of seeing her body of work come into fruition but then again i hope she doesn't ends up dwindling like mariah, bey, or Whitney
But now i am convinced that she is the new slave of the industry. The symbols indicates it all. Even with the "Aquarius" 'dawn of the new era could explain it all'. Honestly i would rather her be on Alicia keys level

But she is far from mediocre. The skills she enhanced is enough to compete with rhi and bey. And lately she did improve her vocals. And she sang at a dodgers game. She always in tact with her work. And what i also love about her is that she never beefs with anyone on social media

I ♡ Tinashe.. 2on is her worst song. She's trying to stand out but she's only going to be liked by a very small group of people. She wasn't meant to be an "international mega star". Just like everyone won't make it to heaven... she's a star in her own galaxy and if you're blessed to see it you are a very lucky person may and trust she knows all about the so called "powers that be" 4 mix tapes and one major album release isn't going to change that.

Honestly Whitney Mariah were known for their unique vocal ranges. But in terms of Quality writing very few singers can do that. And Tinashe's writing is impeccable. Her mainstream songs doesn't showcase that because of her record label. All her mixtapes are Amazing. I would love for her to work with Emile sande or Sade

Here's the thing though...just the fact the she's on the scene makes her a threat to Beyonces insecurity. The girl doesn't even have to be "all that"....just the fact that she's on the scene is enough. It doesn't take much for Beyonce, remember she steals from very obscure artists too!

Mark my words, Beyonce is looking at this chick and secretly seething, hoping she won't rise.
I didn't mean this post as a critique if Tinashe, but moreso a nod to someone whom I think has Beys attention already. The Chanel show was a slight hint...

shes a gorgeous girl, and her voice reminds me of Aliyah a tiny bit Also, I think she named her album Aquarius because thats actually just her zodiac sign (her bday is Feb 3rd) As for Bey getting in a huff over it, not surprised. I'm willing to bet shell also try to collab with her soon and then (possibly) we won't hear anything else from her on a mainstream level. I sure hope that doesnt happen though, as she seems very talented and beautiful. Unfortunately, Bey does that to new artists.

As i mentioned she may not have Whitney Mariah range. But people love her because of how unique she is and the African references she makes on her music. I listened to all of her mixtapes and i see why fans love her. You don't see alot of mainstream girls writing, producing, and directing their videos like her. I only wish her mixtapes were actual Albums.Because if it were people would be like "2 on has nothing on either of earlier work." Aquarius overall was nice. But her earlier work sounds like nothing out there. Finally, an artist that actually gets it. And by the way her remake of Kool and the Gang "Summers" was freaking impeccable. She sounds like a sweet angel. To me she does have "it" because she is very hands on and doesn't sit around and for people to tell her what to do. And doesn't throw shade at artists and steal their work. Even if her label says "no" to funding one of her videos she still does does reguardless She is a go-getter thats why fans adore her

^^^ What did she steal from who?
One thing Beyonce did kinda "create" was the "look". Before Beyonce and her blonde lacefronts came along black singers had all sorts of looks. Monica had short hair, Brandy rocked braids , India Arie rocked dreads, Whitney had shortish hair, Mariah had her own look. Ashanti favored cornrows. Even Beyonce used to rock lots of different looks back in the day. Then at some point it became one look: Big voluminous lace front in non-black colours, light bright skin, teeny tiny nose, spider-leg eyelashes.
And ever since then every black female singer except rihanna, sticks very close to this formula.
Describe Beyonce: Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Ciara: Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Tamar:Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Mariah:Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Nick Minaj:Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Rita Ora: Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
Describe Tinashe: Big lacefront, light bright skin, small nose, fake lashes.
U can't deny that despite what ever brief trends appear (like the awful bob phase we are just coming out of) this is the overiding look for a black female artist. I think part of the reason Rihanna has crossover appeal is the she is more fluid with her looks and doesn't always wear the black singer uniform.
If you were to describe white singers you'd get all sorts of descriptions from P!nk to Gaga to Lourde to Adele to Iggy to Miley and on and on.
But back to Tinashe, she taking a heavily used road.

I don't see how Mariah copied Beyonce because Mariah has always rocked big curly hairstyles with and without weaves/wigs. If anything Beyonce copied Mariah's look. They used to be really tight at one time so maybe Mariah "inspired" Beyonce, lol. For some weird reason is seems to me they all want to be Marilyn Monroe. Why are Black singers so obsessed with her?
Anyone with common sense would know Tinashe is not a threat to Beyonce but Beyonce doesn't have any sense at all. I wouldn't be surprised if she were behind the scenes trying to sabotage this young ladies career.

I really don't think she created the 'look'. Beybot stole that look from Faith Evans, Mary J Blige, May Brim Hylton (Puff's 1st baby mama - forgot her name but its something like that). They were rocking that look hard in the 90's. Guess she needed a look and thats what she went with. Thing is Beybot dragged the look across decades n rocks it up until this day, while Fatih, Mary et al moved it on YEARS ago!

Its possible Beyonce is subtly influencing it but at the same time alot of her stans are ignorant without her influence What is wrong with the fans/stans of today? If you go by bee's stans - they allow only ONE star, and that is the buzzard herself. How stupid is that??? There's room enough for hundreds of different type of singers. That's where bee-buzzard stans have done her a great disservice. They always acted as if it was a contest and there could only be ONE winner, so juvenile! Their actions on social media have turned ordinary people into bee "HATERS" ..... Poetic Justice ...... if you ask me. Tinashe is young, talented and appeals to the younger set. These kids can't relate to 33 (more like 37) year old bee. Pretty soon Kay Letourneau, will have nothing on Ms Carter. I do wish the bee stans would just go away, they are like POLLUTION. I would not put it pass bee to have her paid fans to mock any new female singer. God help the next singer, who these leaches attach themselves too

Just so u guys know, Tinashe has her own hair so she doesn't have to wear lace fronts. I believe she did have a nose job but that's the first thing all new singer's do next to a boob job. I'm 41 and her music appeals to me. She's not meant to become bigger than beyodel or anyone else. She's carved her own lane and she's just fine where she is. She's not pressed like some of her peers to be the "only one". If I'm one of the few who likes her..so be it.. it beats anything beskany has ever recorded her entire career. . Like Tim Gunn would say "carry on"..

It's not that Tinashe could necessarily be a LEGITIMATE threat....but to Bey, it doesn't matter....she has a similar look, some titles, and a small following. Hey, she is good enough to get an invite to the Chanel show, so SOMEBODY is watching Tinashe! You have to view things things, not from our perspective, but from a socialite! When you change your perspective from a casual observer to that of an insecure, attention hungry aging socialite it's easy to see Tinashe as someone who would worry Bey, partially because she does have a similar look especially when Bey was younger! The fact that stans are already comparing her to Bey is sign number one! If she was nowhere near Beys caliber in their minds, then she wouldn't be mentioned!
