He has got to be a joke amongst the men he is trying to emulate.
What grown ass man seriously invests in so many ventures within that time-frame, and most fail?
The elite have to sit around sipping Brandy and smoking cigars, having a hearty laugh about "that Jay-Z character" who couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag.
I could see some rich guy using Jay-Z's thirst as a hook to get him involved in some illegal scheme that involves multiple players, but let Jay be the fall guy for it because he just has to try to have that image, and will jump at that instead of using restraint and common sense!
He would be the one publicly endorsing the shit, setting himself up for a take-down that he can't avoid, while the others are quietly in the background slipping away with their stolen money quietly.
