news.yahoo.com/jay-z-quietly-posting-bail-protesters-writer-says-223858518.html
For some reason I feel this is some sort of passive-aggressive response to TPTB allowing the downfall to happen. Why else would two pigeons who have been given so much by the "white controlled media", feel the need to contribute in such a manner?
comments:
"Great publicity for JayZ. His music inspires most all of the criminals out there today. His talk of maybach's, rolex's,multi million dollar homes, parties, clothes and a lifestyle unobtainable by most all the fans. Of course he is going to bail these people out. Once they find out who did it they'll be a fan for life and promote him and the garbage he sells and it is a win all the way around for him. He is not stupid, he is a business man that is profitting off the culture that is too stupid to see it. But, wealthy blacks have been doing it to poor blacks for years."
"Of course it is lip service! Just read the article and you know it's bs! "They bailed out tons of people." Really? Who? Where? How many? How much? No answers. "She wrote a big check." Really? For how much? To who? This is the best form of propaganda! Make people think you spent a lot to help them, when you didn't spend a dime! He don't care about helping poor black people, he cares about how to make those poor peoples' money."
"He's such a good role model for young black man, especially when he grabs his wife's #$%$ on live TV. "
"it is all about promoting his music. his main audience is made up of the type of the people that were involved in these protests. thugs an hoodlums, so it is logical to try and reach out to them by acting like he is with them. If he really is, then put up some cash, and don't just talk about it. "
"They need to have like a twilight zone experience where they go from hip hop mogul and diva to shop owners in one of these towns who gets their livelihood burnt down by these thugs. "
"another reason actors should not be involved in politics. This besides the fact they have no idea what they are talking about outside the safe confines of a script and manager.Money thrown at problems rarely solve anything. "
MY FAVORITE:
"This comment from the article is correct - "contemporary celebrities "have turned their back on social responsibility" and singled out Jay Z and Beyoncé".
It is time that the black community INCLUDING the "celebrities" GET REAL about the real causes of black poverty, lack of education, drug use and criminal activity and start encouraging there own people to make personal choices that address those problems.
There are FREE programs in every city in the US where people can get assistance to complete high school/GED, get job skills training, job placement and even help with college. All it takes is the MOTIVATION to take advantage of what is offered.
So, these celebrities AND black parents need to lead the way by MOTIVATING their own young people/kids to CHANGE their own lives. All it takes is CHOOSING to take advantage of opportunities. "
MY 2ND FAVORITE:
"Hey Jay Z. there are kids in my son's school who cannot go on the choir trip because Lois Lerner and Michelle Obama have made it impossible for them to raise the money through fundraising.
If you really want to help hard working poor kids donate money to high school music programs, not criminals. "
*For the record, personally, no I AM NOT for the rioters..the protestors who are standing for a cause they believe in - are okay with me. But these hooligans out here just using an opportunity to bust, loot, and steal just for the hell of it - not here for them, and never will be.
