How did Beyonce become so unpopular? Is it because she has her nose in the air thinking that she is better than everyone . Some people are beneath her I.e Kim Kardashian. I'll admit Kim Kardashian is more popular and tolerable. For me the straw that broke the camel's back was Beyonce stealing Ledisi's moment. As a woman who cheers for other women, I thought what Beyonce did was low and classless and cruel. She reminds me of those mean girls at school who want every good thing for themselves. Is she she even aware of her dwindling popularity. She has the personality of a dead fish. Shallow and fake. I think I dislike her stans even more. She endorses their foolishness and bullying. Perez Hilton the Blogger no longer regards her as a sacred cow. Most media outlets and people can see right through her fake self.    And what ever happened to: " Nasty put your clothes on"?  |

Short answer: she and did it to herself (with the help of her publicist, manager, producers, ghostwriters,etc.) and things started to turn for the worst with Babygate Longer answer: I think most of it is her own doing (lying and conniving in private, phony clean public image) but part of it comes down to 1) the build-up tear-down cycle that happens with a lot of celebrities and 2) mainstream music trends. When R&B-inspired pop dominated the airwaves in the early to mid aughts she was at the forefront. Once other musical genres had their moment in the sun she did more playing catch-up than leading the pack. Figuratively speaking she's had her lacefront snatched by quite a few of her supposed lessers (Gaga, Adele, Swift, Rih). When people start to look past the hype they see the truth, but most of the media didn't start looking past the hype until her "pregnancy". Before then her lawsuits were swept under the rug, the comments about her padded drawers were laughed off, and the ghostwriters and producers who outed her were ignored or scorned (Keri Hilson, anyone?). I think Babygate was the tipping point but considering how much hype was put into building her up as a megastar it was only a matter of time before mainstream media started to turn. I still don't think she's seen the worst of it yet, though. Unflattering pictures and filmed UFC matches in elevators won't look that bad when they really drag her. |

Of course her time as the top current artist would still be up but Mathew would have made sure Beyonce's legacy as the private "Queen" would remain intact. Belly flop would've never happened, he would have never let her sign up to Tidull and she wouldn't be degrading herself to compete with Kim for tabloid headlines. I never realized how much he kept under wraps until now because it's now obvious that chick is just as carazie as Britney.

firstly Beyonce's greatest strength was her "unapproachableness".
Beyonce's fall correlates with the rise of social media. There are some stars who are relatable who's world you want to enter, and when they let people in they don't disappoint, regardless of what's in there. Rihanna comes to mind.
But Beyonce was the exact oppposite. The less people saw of the real Beyonce, the better off she would have been. Social media revealed her to be shallow, vapid, mean, narcisistic and elitist. Traits that would make anyone unlovable let alone a singer.
Another thing that Social media revealed which damaged her was her fanbase... Beyonces fans consistently show themselves to be ratchet and low class and certain types of gays (messy queens). This has reflected badly on Beyonce to a really great extent. It also revealed her extremely limited appeal. This hurt her brand.
Beyonce exposed herself to all of this and encouraged a lot of it.
Jay Z set her up for failure by gassing her up. He over estimated the value of his bottom bitch, and when john's weren't interested beyonce always had to make up for it by doing more for less. This conflicted with her image of exclusivity. From Armani ads to clip tattoos. this watered Beyonce's brand down.
Beyonce, jay Z and her their joint teams failed to market beyonce properly in the last decade. Somewhere along the lines it stopped being about untouchable celebrities and started being about celebs who you think are your besties, Rih, taylor swift come to mind.
Bey's team were way behind the trend and due to Beyonce's advanced age (seriously) they failed to garner interest in entertainment's greatest consumers (young people)
Another thing that destroyed Beyonce is over exposure. Beyonce did a 180 from hard-to-find to all over the place all the time. People got sick of seeing her, especially since she kept showing and telling people the same thing, i.e "I'm richer/prettier/better than you."
Lastly, Beyonce has never had anything to say, she's never had a story to tell. For a singer that spells "short lifespan". She's never had a meaningful song, no classics that will last for decades, not even single ladies...
All in all, Beyonce has no one to blame but herself, if she were the independent woman she claimed, after so long in the business, when she fired her father she could have taken the reigns of her career in her own hands instead of allowing herself to be other people's puppets.

Damn and to think those expenses were from 2012 while Beyonce was still doing okay. Now she probably owes those people, her label plus JayZ debts and that doesn't include Tina's and Solange's bills. That's why I keep telling my sister they have millions but if you look at how many people and bills the Carters have to pay, they aren't as rich as they want us to think.
