I apologize in advance but... According to Celebrity Fix: Uh oh! Beyonce is on the war path and her mum Tina Knowles is in the firing line. Sources have exclusively told TheFIX how Bey, 32, is “worried” about Tina’s new romance with actor Richard Lawson due to his Scientology beliefs.In fact, since the new couple started dating, they’ve attended a string of scientology events and Tina’s now showing interest in the programme.“Beyonce is arguing with her mom because Tina is dating Richard, who is a practicing Scientologist,” says the source.“Beyonce is dead-set against the religion and is worried her mom is getting sucked in.” It’s no secret Beyonce, who is currently in Australia on tour, is a devoted Christian, along with her family. And the insider claims she’s scared that Tina is being swept-up in this new romance, with the couple making their first public appearance late last week in NYC.
“Beyonce and husband Jay Z are wary of the religion and are trying to get Tina to be a bit more cautious,” says the source. “The relationship is causing big problems between daughter and mother.”

THAT could be why Tina's been so distant...this coulda been brewing in the background all this time!!
One thing I've learned about celeb gossip is that not all of it is true...but usually at least some aspect of it is...and where there is smoke, there is usually some fire. This would make a little sense.

His Wikipedia page says he is an occasional Scientologist, E Online are confirming this realtionship...

The one thing I can't stand is the fact that she doesn't know her place as her mother's child. She needs to realize that her mother is not the child, she's a grown women and can handle her own personal life. Beyonce needs to focus on her own marriage because we all know that's not picture perfect.(If he cheats left and right) Her mother is living for herself at the moment. She's probably tired of dealing with both bey and jay. So what if she's learning about another religion, she's not converting just going with him. Like someone told me no matter what religion you choose to partaken in you always go back to the religion that you was raised in.

F that! Beyonce is not worried about her mother. She's worried about her reputation. Her dad cheated, had a baby, divorced her mom, re-married. She hasn't had a hit since Single Ladies, 4lop flopped, she lip synced at the inauguration, went to cuba, had to flop ass singles she couldn't even get off the ground, going on tour cause she owes money, couldn't even keep a short hairstyle for 2.5 seconds, keeps showing half ass pictures of her child etc etc etc and NOW her mother is dating a Scientologist and she's worried about the little reputation of having a wonderful family is coming down. Y'all really think she's tripping off religion as much as she bust it wide open on stage? Nah, she worried about what everyone else would think. Newsflash, no one gives a frick! Not even the stans. "Whoaaaaa Beyonce's mom is dating a Scientologist!!" No one is going out of there way to make it a big deal.
(Isn't that the one actor man? He looks so familiar!)

IMO this is all PR. Bey dunce could care less what religion her mom follows. Besides, aren't their good friends Will and Jada into Scientology? Let's face it B/J are to stupid to even know how bad that fake religion can be for the underclass. Only the big celebs get treated well, and that's all these two numb nuts would see. For anyone one interested Google Scientology is a cult" scary read from people that were members.
