Her obsession with JLO in her early solo career was serious. Bey wanted to also be known as a "big booty pretty girl dating a Hip Hop mogul" like JLO was. Regardless of what people want to say about talent etc. Bey wanted to be in JLOs skin. The hair, the fur, the butt pads, all screamed a desperation to be Jlo WannaBey. Just cause Bey so called sings better doesnt meant she didnt want to have the same look that Jlo was known for. Opening fashion line, trying to do movies, was all her trying to do a JLO. There is a Tumblr called "Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and other JLo Wannabes" (http://celebswhocopyjenniferlopez.tumblr.com/) and it's a shame how much Bey is on that list! Yes, it is VERY evident that this chick wanted to be JLo so bad in her early career. It's so sad. Now that she's jacked damn near every JLo look/dance move/career move/etc., she's moved on to jacking other people. SMH. She seriously needs help.

hater
flop
yall some haters
shade
twerk
beyonce
NOW ABOUT THE COPYING im sorry to break it too you but the only female artist that's original is janet jackson very underrated artist. the top female popstar in the 80s-90s is madonna and today its beyonce lets not deny that. but they are the most unoriginal artists believe it or not madonna wasn't original. both of these females have people making website about them copying and being unoriginal(if you guys want to see the ones about madonna i can post if you like)...this is the problem with the industry with big female pop stars. NOTHING in the industry is original
example:
jlo copied janet, even beyonce and selena
britney spears copied every janet jackson dance move, some lyrics and some songs than copied madonna's style of music post 2004
rihanna: copied beyonce in her earlier years than after chris brown copied fefe dodsons persona her bad girl image and style
lady gaga: shes copied so many artist shes on beyonces level on copying
the list goes on so im not really surprised that all of this is coming out now.
lol guys i kinda sorta met beyonce at the juice bar were she took the pictures of the last supper this week it was kinda weird seeing her

She copied almost every big stars in the 80s and 90s. Marilyn Monroe, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George... The list goes on and is long! And I agree about Janet. Now That I think about it, she was the first major female pop star to embrace this tomboy style. Always dressed in black or dark colors, long curly black hair, body completely covered. And she still had sex appeal. Actually a lot singers have been inspired by her style: Britney Spears like you mentionned, but also Aaliyah and TLC (in a hip-hop/street style version), Ciara, Cassie...

Of course this thread will be incomplete if we do not include her favorite person to bite style from:BEYONCE COPIES RIHANNA
You know, Beyonce reminds me of that chick from Single White Female, who did her best to BECOME the object of her obsession/envy. Sorry but the last two pictures comparaison is not accurate. Beyonce released her video for Run the World around May 2011 and the artwork for Rihanna's Talk That Talk was released around October of the same year I think.

Guys, yes all artists are inspired by others at times, but I think we can all agree that Beyonce takes it to the extreme. She doesn't tweak it to make it her own - she just flat out steals it.....over, and over, and over, from multiple artists.

^^ And both Kylie's and Beytlejuice's cyborg costumes are based on the Maria gynoid from the film "Metropolis". I know I posted this already but I wanted it in the sticky thread: Beyonce copies Canadian pop singer AnjulieSome people claim that she's just copying her own Run the World video but Superpower is a closer to Stand Behind the Music than RTW.

LAWSUIT CHRONICLES:
Beyoncé Sued By Abercrombie & Fitch Over Fragrance(2009)www.billboard.com/articles/news/267375/beyonce-sued-by-abercrombie-fitch-over-fragranceA battle between the pop star and the fashion brand just turned fierce. Abercrombie & Fitch Co (ANF.N), the apparel retailer known for sexy advertising and casual looks, has sued the singer Beyoncé Knowles, claiming her plan for a new fragrance to be launched in early 2010 infringes on its existing trademark. In a federal lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio, Abercrombie claims a fragrance under the singer's "Sasha Fierce" label "poses a likelihood of confusion" with the retailer's own "Fierce" brand. It said such confusion could deprive it of control over a trademark it has used since 2002, and perhaps cost it sales. The lawsuit seeks to halt potential trademark infringement, unfair competition and deceptive trade practices. Representatives of Knowles did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Best known for clothing sold to teens and college-age adults, New Albany, Ohio-based Abercrombie said it has sold more than $190 million worth of fragrance under the Fierce name, and expects $64 million of sales in 2009. Abercrombie sells Fierce at more than 350 retail stores and on its website, typically for $40 to $70 in bottles featuring a young man's muscular, nude torso. The fragrance is sprayed throughout stores via a scent machine or by store employees. "A&F's intent is that all garments that leave the store have the FIERCE scent attached to them," the complaint said. The company markets Fierce as a men's cologne whose "fresh citrus aroma" and "warm musky subtleness" will "naturally draw her curiosity because of its seductive nature." A saleswoman at a San Francisco store nonetheless described it as a "unisex" scent. WHO IS MORE FIERCE? Fragrance maker Coty Inc has signed an agreement to market Knowles' fragrance. Knowles, often known solely by her first name, is one of the world's best-known singers, after having risen to fame as lead singer of the group Destiny's Child. Last November, her album "I am ... Sasha Fierce" debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. On Sunday, the song "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" from that album won the Video of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards. In English vernacular "fierce" means "cool" or "fabulous." The case is Abercrombie & Fitch Co v. Knowles, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio (Columbus), No. 09-807. Beyonce Sued for $100 Million by Video Game Maker By Erika Ramirez | April 27, 2011 1:15 PM EDT
www.billboard.com/articles/columns/the-juice/471850/beyonce-sued-for-100-million-by-video-game-maker
Beyoncé has been hit with a hefty $100 million lawsuit, after the singer reportedly bailed out on creating a "motion-sensing dance video" titled "Starpower: Beyoncé."
The summons, which was first obtained by New York Magazine, was filed yesterday (Apr. 26) by software developer Gate Five LLC against Beyoncé and her company, Beyoncé, Inc. Gate Five is holding the star, who is referred to as Ms. Carter, accountable for "a bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five's business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas."
According to the claim, Beyoncé "had already negotiated lavish compensation terms" with Gate Five to develop the "Starpower: Beyoncé" video game, but then suddenly "made an extortionate demand for entirely new compensation terms." When the deal subsequently fell through, the singer allegedly "drove away the financier (who found Ms. Carter too erratic to do business with) and then pulled out of the project, breaching the agreement.
Representatives for Beyonce have yet to repspond to requests for a comment.
