...this thread is never ending 03 Bonnie and Clyde inspired by Toni Braxton... In October 8, 2003, Toni Braxton and her team released a statement claiming that Jay-Z's song "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" had stolen Braxton's idea to sample the 1996 Tupac Shakur song "Me and My Girlfriend".[3] Braxton sampled Shakur's song on the track "Me & My Boyfriend", included on Braxton's album, More Than a Woman (2002). An Arista spokesperson said Braxton invited a friend from Def Jam, Jigga's label, to listen to the song a few months back. "Imagine our surprise after turning on the radio and hearing the new Jay Z single 'Bonnie & Clyde,' featuring Beyoncé," the spokesperson said. "It's the same song. They even use the same Tupac sample. Frankly, she is insulted and disappointed. In a call to a New York radio station, Braxton stated that "Jay-Z and Beyoncé are messing with my money. They're trying to steal my mojo".[3] Braxton said her song was recorded over the summer of 2002, and alleged that Jay-Z only decided to do "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" after she played her version of the song for Def Jam Recordings.[3] Kanye West responded to Braxton's claim in an interview for MTV News, "I had no idea about Toni Braxton's [song]. She can't act like ain't nobody ever heard 'Me and My Girlfriend' before. People hear the song all the time. I can [understand her complaint] if it [was] an original song."[3] West defended the song's sample, stating that the idea came to him after listening to a friend's Makaveli album one night.[3] Roc-A-Fella Records' Co-CEO responded to Braxton's claims:
Jay is a talented dude. I don't think he would steal anything intentionally. It's an ill coincidence, and things happen for a reason. We'll see what happens behind it... I read it in the paper, and Jay and I were talking about it this morning and it was a little funny. I know he didn't intentionally make the same record she made. I don't think he even heard it. [My] reaction is, 'Sorry, it wasn't intentional.' Jay makes records and puts them out. This [sh--] is music. It's just music. We don't sit around and have a blueprint to [f---] anybody's life up. The music business has been good to us. I'm not getting into any beef or nothing over music.[3]
Speaking for MTV News, Jay-Z responded to Braxton's claims: "I wouldn't want to take it from her. I don't even think like that. My first thought would be, 'Maybe I could call her up, maybe I could get on that record.' The most obvious [explanation] is it's neither one of our records. It's not like you made an original idea. She's not in hip-hop, but it happens in hip-hop often. We go to sample the same thing and my record came out first. I'm sorry. What can I do?"[37] He went on saying that if he had known they were both planning to sample the same Tupac song, he would have arranged a duet with her.[42]
I love Toni, and love "More than a woman"! We All know that, the sample is from Tupac (and the other sample is from the legendary Prince's "If I was your girlfriend") but I do know that Toni had the idea first, recorded it first and when Beyonce sings the chorus she's singing it just like Toni did! Jay Z lied. Kanye spoke too soon, before Jay told him not to do his idea of a visual album then all of sudden Beyonce releases a visual album...

Beyonce 'Copies' Sexy 'Partition' Music Video From Ciara?(from entertainmentwise.com)
Beyonce was hailed as innovative and creative when she dropped her fifth studio album as a surprise but she's now been accused of stealing ideas for her racy 'Partition' music video from fellow R&B star Ciara, with fans left outraged over the similarities between their work. The 'Drunk In Love' superstar wowed fans with her sexy dance moves and seduction tips on husband Jay Z in the steamy music video which premiered earlier this week but she's now come under fire after Ciara appeared to subliminally draw a glaring similarity between 'Partition' and CiCi's 2009 video for 'Love Sex Magic' which features Justin Timberlake. Ciara in the 'Love Sex Magic' video (Ciara/Instagram) Alongside a still from the video which shows Ciara dressed in an animal print skin-tight catsuit while positioning her curvaceous body between a pair of bars, the singer wrote: “T BT. LSM Video With JT. Co Directed With Diane Martel. Doing this section was crazy having to hold high up and push on the bendable bars, but was worth it!”Of course, it wasn't long before Ciara was accused of throwing shade at Queen Bey and attempting to indirectly point out that 'Partition' features similar scenes with Beyonce's body covered also covered in an animal print while sexily dancing in between thick bars at a strip club. Instagram user heather_ness believes the 'Partition' visuals are a complete rip-off of CiCi's 'Love Sex Magic,' writing: “Beyoncé copied!!!!!!” Spot the similarities? Beyonce gets raunchy in the 'Partition' video (YouTube) davette_onlymatters agreed, writing: “Beyoncé damn sure did copied.”

@elle McRealson, What's so crazy about Bey copying JLo is that we all know and can see that all of this just cannot, in no way, be coincidental. In order for Beyonce to copy JLo to this extent means Bey had to actually closely watch and study JLo from head to toe, for some YEARS. I keep asking myself and others...who would Beyonce be if it weren't for what others have contributed? This woman is riding high on the horse and has contributed no more than what we would expect a new artist (who has no image just yet, but is trying to break in the business) to do. Just like right now this "ratchet" mess is the cool thing to do in music. What does a so-called seasoned performer on Beyonce's level do? She doesn't march to the beat of her own drum, because she can't. She's a follower and not a lead, so she joins in on the fuckery and wonders why people aren't buying into this image. How is Beyonce an iconic artist to be reckoned with if she's nothing but a follower? How did we (the public) let this bish slip by and hold titles she knows she doesn't deserve?

How did we (the public) let this bish slip by and hold titles she knows she doesn't deserve?I remember listening to the Doug Banks morning show when the video for Crazy in love came out, Dee Dee sounded annoyed as she was talking about how Beyonce copied JLo's entire style. Who would have know then, she'd be doing the same thing to this day! The points that you made are exactly why I don't respect her, she's a singer not an artist, whose desperation to stay in the spot light at this point is getting hard to watch. She can't be a ICON, no matter how much she proclaims to be one or the media tries to shove her down our throats, that's a title that has to be earned.

I knew she was obsessed with Jlo but didn't expect to still copy her nowdays. It's ridiculous. Beyonce has NO STYLE of her own, she hasn't created anything new. She can't anyway, she isn't a creative/imaginative person... That's why she needs to copy and steal. Another surprising thing is even when just copies, she looks like a mere follower. A copy of Jlo, of Diana Ross, Tina Turner... There's no Beyonce style. Some artists blantantly copy but they own it. Jlo copied a lot from Selena, Gloria Estefan. Rihanna copied a great part of her style from Janet Jackson, Fefe Dobson and some fashion models like Kate Moss. Ciara copied from Aaliyah, Janet, TLC. Madonna swaggerjacked pretty much every major female singer and actress from the 1940s to the 1980s lol. But unlike Beyonce, these copycat "artists" own their shit. Because they have something that Beyonce never had: personnality. They have their own mind. Something Beyonce could dream of.

I just wanted to point out that I believe they gave this baby a haircut. So I just have one question is Blue really a boy?? Either that or they are going the Will and Jada route of gender confusion: dressing their daughter like their son, dressing their son like their daughter (When Will and Jaden promoted After Earth, Will insisted on kissing his son in the mouth on EVERY major interview he did)....Angelina Jolie was dressing her daughter like a boy when she was 2, Gwen Stefanie painted her sons nails when he was about the same age...so these are choices that the parents are making for their kids. I don't think it a coincidence that is all happening while rappers, black men, are now wearing skirts and getting their nails painted.....smh

In a recent interview Rapper Future talks about NOT getting credit for basically making "Drunk In Love" When will it end? When she has all the money in the world?
Future Says He Wrote the Melody for Beyoncé’s ‘Drunk in Love’, Doesn’t Know Why He Didn’t Get Credit April 23, 2014 1 Comment
Screen Shot 2014-04-23 at 1.34.21 PM
There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the similarities between Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” and Future’s “Good Morning.” We’ve seen Future briefly address the situation — but he never fully explained what went down. In an interview with CRWN host Elliott Wilson, Future attempted to clear up the controversy.
“Detail came to the studio like. He cut the music off – ‘Man I’m about to work with Beyoncé. Can you please do this record man? She like the way you do yo’ songs’ ..and she this and that. We were working so much together, he ended up getting me to do it.
He put me in the booth. The song was already pre-wrote. I started doing the little melody – my melody that you can pretty much tell from “Turn on The Lights.” If you listen to the records these are the same melodies I’ve been doing — “Never End,” “Turn Off The Lights”. If you go back to my mixtapes you hear my melody all over it — so it wasn’t that issue.
It was just, he was working with her, ended up cutting the record first & gave it to her. We had did the record about 8 months before she put it out.” He goes on to say that during that time, he made “Good Morning” thinking Beyoncé wasn’t ever going to put “Drunk in Love ” out — but she did and thus “Good Morning” was scrapped.
Still unclear as to whether or not Future wrote anything on “Drunk in Love,” Elliott Wilson points out that both songs feature the line “we be all night” and Future clarifies that everything was written around the same time.
Elliott : “Why aren’t you properly credited for that song and why can’t you just put yours out?”
Future: “I don’t know. You gotta ask them that. I was like ‘Let me put “Good Morning” out since y’all put “Drunk in Love” out’. [They were] like ‘nah’”
Elliott: “But you weren’t credited on ‘Drunk In Love’”
Future: “Nope. That’s why they won’t let me put it out *laughs*” Watch the interview below!
Listen to Future’s “Good Morning” below. Does it sound like “Drunk In Love” to you?
